  1. Why would I click on something that I have no idea what it's about? I know this seems to be a habit of yours, going onto threads and topics you're not interested in.. but most normal people don't do that. If it's a link about Leigh Adams, say so.. it tends to help.
  2. You have posted a link with no reference to Leigh Adams at all, in the midst of ramblings that you have now posted on two threads that their are topics on the forum that don't interest you with a thread heading that has nothing to do with Leigh either. As a result, very few people will even find out about the progress Leigh has made.
  3. Funnily enough no. Why is that? Because you haven't mentioned anything about Leigh Adams, just rambled on with your woes that the forum isn't discussing things you are interested in. The link to Leigh Adams is very useful and I will now click on it to read about his progress as that is something that most definitely is of interest. However, not many are going to read it are they? Would it not have been better to have made the title of the thread "Leigh Adams Update" or something along those lines? Edited to add: Thanks for the update Wackie, good to see Leigh is making progress in his rehabilitation.
  4. The irony. You are the fool posting on a thread that doesn't interest you. I can categorically, 100% state that I have never wasted my time to post on a thread that I am not interested in. That would be moronic. You're not interested in discussing Darcy Ward.. don't click on a Darcy Ward thread then! It's hardly rocket science.
  5. So what's it about then? Nothing, a worthless thread. Just you complaining people aren't discussing things that interest you.
  6. Well done sir. You're doing a fine job of showing your respect towards Rico.
  7. Personally I find it very distasteful to use such events to take a pop at the forum and other threads. Simply start a thread paying your respects, without tarnishing it by having a go at people. Even the heading 'In Other News'. Disrespectful. I am sure most of us, if not all have posted or paid our respects in some way to Lee via social media. RIP Rico.
  8. Correct, it's ongoing. I also hope for Ward's sake its ongoing for another 15 years +.
  9. Firstly, your rant about Lee could equally be posted on every single other thread on the forum. Secondly, if you're sick of 'hearing about him'.. why are you clicking on a thread about him (Ward)?
  10. Take your own advice. I've explained what he said. Its blatantly clear what he said and the implications of it, if you don't have the intelligence to understand the English language, that is your problem. Waihekaces is an intelligent guy and clearly he understands.
  11. That is what he said. It's really very basic. He claims the EL is a poor standard... the PL is lower.. so by definition that makes it a very poor standard. It's not complicated.
  12. Correct it was, he was inferring that the Premier league is a VERY poor standard, which is what I said. Yet he was using said argument to refute the suggestion that the EL is better. Hence it was ridiculous.. It's quite simple.
  13. That's precisely the sort of attitude that is seeing more and more fans drift away. I only used away fans as an example.. don't for one moment think home fans will be happy that the management doesn't seem in the slightest bit interested in trying to win.
  14. Not too bad a performance from Wolves tonight if I am being honest, I expected worse. What I did expect was Howarth to score 0, and he duly delivered. The Wolves promotion should issue an apology to any travelling away fans for who they have shown zero regard. With RR Wolves would very likely have come away with a pt and may even have sneaked a draw or better. 5 pts from Lindgren, Wells, Karlsson and Thorsell wouldn't have been a lot to ask for a draw.
  15. Try following the conversation. He is replying to SCB refuting the claim that the incorrectly named PL is better. I'm also not suggesting his post implied anything.. simply stating that if you're denigrating the standard of the EL, you're doing the same to the PL as the standard is lower.
  16. Totally agree with that. Very intelligent race from Summers, hard but completely fair. Yet all the commentators talked about was 'super smoooth' Konopka in the lead! Oblivious to the work Summers was having to do. It's title suggests its the Elite, i.e. the highest standard league in the UK. If you can name me a league in the UK that is of a higher standard, then you would be correct that it's weaker than its name suggests.
  17. So his opinion is the PL is a very low standard? As that is what is post is implying... Somehow I don't think that is his opinion though... which renders his post ridiculous.
  18. Unbelievable the ridiculous statements that get made.
  19. What he saw was a bend, that you have to turn left to go into. Konopka stayed on a straight line all the way down the straight. Bates lifted in the early part of the straight, moved across somewhat out of control, regained it but continued to drift into Konopka. An unfortunate racing incident where there was nothing deliberate, but Bates rightly was the one to be excluded.
  20. And that's the key!! Massive credit to your promoters.
  21. The English language isn't based on your book. If there is no passing in a race, it's a procession. That's the meaning of the word, following in order, which was the case in the vast majority of races last night. Again I repeat, the meeting was enjoyable and I wish it could be like that on every TV meeting. The primary reasons were not the racing, which once again destroys the myth that the 'racing' is all that matters. Thanks for proving my point. So there 4 races with passing in. Which makes 11 processional heats. 11 out of 15 is the majority. NO poster has put a damper on anything, indeed everyone who has posted has said they have enjoyed the meeting. However, some of us have the intelligence to identify the main reasons why it was more enjoyable than other meetings with similar racing and don't have to resort to the PL is better, or EL is better rubbish.
  22. It was exactly as we discussed while watching it SCB. The meeting, although enjoyable, was full of processional racing. The track was one line, get out wide you were not going to be passed. The banking however made it look 'exciting', which is good. What made it was the simple fact it was a nice tidy stadium with a decent crowd and an atmosphere! Something I have been on and on and on about for 10 years+ is an absolute must for ALL Sky meetings. It is SO easy to promote this sport via TV and last night was an example of it.
  23. Tonight has proved what some of us have been saying all along. Get a good crowd into the stadium and an average meeting will look that much better. Had tonights meeting been raced in front of a sparse crowd like many TV matches are, it wouldn't be getting the praise it is now. That's not a knock on it, I enjoyed it.
  24. Are we? We've done well at home, which was expected and managed to win at Lakeside.. something that has lost some of its shine given subsequent results. Apart from that, drubbed at Swindon and Poole.
