You're getting into the spirit of things aren't you! Tomasz you mean
-
Yes, it's the pinnacle of his career. From when he was a young lad and first got on a speedway bike it's been his dream to sit out the World Championships.
-
Hey lay off the commentators. Good old Jack has just given us an exclusive.. Chris Holder MIGHT sit out the Elite League this season.
-
Seems the Poles haven't fallen for the OneSport hype that this meeting means anything at all.
-
Martin Smolinski was hilarious then.. like a talking advertising board.
-
You can put reserve in at any time I think, so no tac subs I assume. After some decent heats early on, racing becoming spread out now. It's nice to watch speedway, but its like watching a challenge match at the start of the year, reality is it means nothing.

He's the better one of this duo!
-
I know, was being a tad sarchastic
-
I think it will depend upon the track, if there is a good inside line he will go well.. if the line is all out wide, he may struggle. I see Emil was really struggling in his first ride. Good job he listened to those in his ear telling him he wouldn't be able to compete against the top boys in the GP's.

Apologies, just seen that.

Don't forget Alan, your Coventry Bees are live on bet365 at 7:30pm also.

Woofy Still Getting Good Media Coverage
BWitcher replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
That was the page of the Red Bull sponsored professional skaters. Worldwide likely more known than Tai Woffinden is. Meanwhile, here's a Mercedes Driver. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2320427/So-Lewis-drove-work-F1-star-shows-impressive-collection-tattoos.html Someone best alert them! -

In what way are those three 'world class role models' and Tai isn't? I suspect you won't have an answer, which enforces waihekeaces1's point that you are deciding suitable role models based on 'looks'. Pretty awful parenting. -
The weather forecast seems to be getting worse each day as we come towards Thursday

Ah so you are claiming Red Bull wouldn't want to know about anyone with tattoos etc. Funny that. http://www.redbull.com/cs/Satellite/en_INT/Sports-/Skate-Sports/001242745960405 Very first thing we see.. oh no! Its a tattoed man. -

As John says above, given Mr Woffinden's skill set and the jobs he would be looking for employment in, i.e. that of a speedway rider, then yes, I would employ him. Folk are simply going to have to get used to tattooos and Ear Loops.. they're only going to become more and more present in society. -

Let's see. Polite, well mannered, stays out of trouble, dedicated, focused. Set his goals, achieved them, fighting through adversity throughout. Damn good role model.- 45 replies

Agree it was more hostile, just used the Americans to emphasise, even they got sucked into the rivalry.
-
Wolves V Cradley without a doubt. Those who didn't/haven't experienced it have missed out majorly and I suppose will never understand. You would have good mates, i.e. the Americans.. Ermolenko/Correy/Hamill/Hancock etc do anything and I mean ANYTHING to beat each other in those matches... even challenges. I just hope they stop creaming the money and get Cradley back up to the top flight where they belong so we can see more!

Tad disappointing its not a proper 20 heat competition...

I've just booked my flights from Portugal to be there for Sam's appearance at Sheffield. Any news on who else is in the meeting?

Tape Touching - New Regulation
BWitcher replied to Mike.Butler's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Not disagreeing with you. It angers me every time a race is pulled back when someone has simply made a great start. Times have moved on WK. What passed as being a character and 'entertainment' has long since changed. -
Tape Touching - New Regulation
BWitcher replied to Mike.Butler's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Oh dear.. the relics are out again harking back to the 'good old days'. The old way of starting was awful. It's awful even watching it now seeing riders roll into the tapes, back out again, in again, back out again. Awful. What is annoying now is when races are called back when someone makes a fantastic start. Quite simply, if the referee lets the tapes go, meaning he is happy no rider has moved backwards, then if a rider doesn't touch the tapes, let it go. The minute modern day speedway gets any form of villain they are castigated by all and sundry.. particularly the older fans! -
Spot on. Forget about fancy graphics, this game is all about gameplay. Takes a little while to get the hang of it, but once you do, it's fantastic. Very welcoming community, currently in Season 8 of a well run league structure. Go to www.britishspeedwaysliders.com to sign up as a member. There are regular 'pool' meetings for new members to get used to racing in a real meeting.
