  1. Stevebrum, a Wolves fan, is not the problem on the "Wolves 2017" thread. Yes, he doesn't help himself by consistently taking the bait, but when he is being 'trolled', relentlessly, by the same two suspects it's unsurprising he replies. Back on the topic of the thread, looking at the fixtures the week beginning 24th July could be a vital week for Riss to be back by, which could be cutting it fine. Although I haven't checked to see if he would miss any of the matches that week anyway due to doubling up.
  2. Triple H was actually asking if any of the Danes had been honored in their own country.
  3. I'd be asking the question why King wasn't nominated for Heat 15. He'd beaten both Cook and Kurtz, from the back.
  4. Beowulf is a Wolves fan so perhaps a little more optimistic.
  5. And have Somerset moved up or down in quality? My statement was, as the league has been made weaker year on year, crowds have fallen year on year. Somerset moved up.. their crowds have risen.
  6. Ah ok, my mistake. Crowds are booming. They might get 'good' crowds.. but what is considered a 'good' crowd gets lower with each passing year.
  7. Crowds have been falling at Poole for a long time as they have across all tracks. Belle Vue is an exception as you have a brand new stadium/track..
  8. Weaken the league.. crowds fall... "We need to cut costs!".. Weaken the league.. crowds fall... "We need to cust costs".. Weaken the league.. crowds fall.. "We need to cut costs" and so on and so on and so on....
  9. Correct, in years where Lindgren wasn't in the form of his career. Interestingly last time he was in this sort of form was about 2009, I remember he scored 14 from 5 that year.
  10. Even bigger when they then pretend they knew all along....
  11. Really? I was just randomly posting about a hypothetical situation. Now you're saying it actually happened?
  12. As per the rules of the sport, irrelevant. And so he should, legally the SCB haven't a leg to stand on.
  13. And your thinking is backing a corrupt ruling. The meeting had not reached ten heats so the result could not stand. It was still mathematically possible for Redcar to win at the point of the early abandonment of the meeting, as such as per the rules the match could not be awarded. It's just another example of the corrupt, inept way this sport is run.
  14. Exactly and it's an utter nonsense to suggest it can.
  15. Incorrect. There is no prevision in the rules. If this interpretation is to be followed then you would have a whole raft of 'awarded' meetings. Example . Team is 14 behind after heat 7 when the heavens open.. Under this ruling the match should be awarded as it wasn't mathematically possible for them to catch up by Heat 10. Utter nonsense. The mathematically possible relates to a 15 heat meeting. The 10 heat issue is a different rule. This meeting didn't complete ten heats, so it is irrelevant.
  16. Really? I would never have expected you to say that. One wonders how many other presenters you've heard recently....
  17. You should apologise because you found it funny that there might be additional security at the meeting. Given recent events you finding 'amusement' in it is quite frankly sick.
  18. A wind-up? And you found it funny? Perhaps an apology for your utterly crass, insensitive post is in order? As for the meeting.. Josh Grajczonek? Seriously... Wolves better hope for the rain.
  19. The question was asked what Wolves got out of it. Wolves got plenty out of it, more than teams get out of the vast majority of riders.
  20. Wolves got 6.5 years of service and a couple of league titles.
  21. Exactly who are these 'paying customers' that the sport is likely to lose? Typical speedway thinking and another example of why the sport is in the mess it is. Negative. Negative. Negative. Another example, the recent scoring change because 'some' fans went home unhappy because their team had dropped a pt when winning by six or less at home. Oh my god! Couple of fans said they weren't happy! Scrap the rule! Panic! Nobody stops to think that for every unhappy fan there were many who enjoyed the extra tension it brought to a meeting. Speedway lives in a culture of "why things can't be done". Any business operating in such a fashion is doomed to failure.
  22. My thoughts exactly, that night will long live in the memory, as indeed does the 1st leg at Long Eaton.
