Would we have delays after every false start, while the riders re charge their battery, and a further delay should anyone have consecutive rides.

Listed as 2.77 for premiership on Tigers website. Would have thought this is the one that counts. -

Anyone tell me if Nielsen rides, or who replaces him? Thanks -
Possibly the transfer deadline does not apply to injured riders. I personally don't know.
-
Anything said about how long Nielsen will be out for?

Let's do a double header, and while we are at it, also catch up on the outstanding Premier Junior matches. Should be a good long night.

Greyhound racing at Owlerton on Tuesday.

Just looking at when the outstanding home match v Kings Lynn may be, and as far as I can see, there isn't either a Monday or Thursday, between now and the date the play offs are due to begin, when one of the teams does not already have a match. Not sure what the solution to this is. Ironically, if the match is not staged, then the chance of Kings Lynn finishing above Sheffield goes from unlikely to impossible.

Sheffield vs Belle Vue 2/9/21

Just hope it's you that is right, not me. -
Whoops, forgot about that.

Does Palin have a better average than Mountain? Not sure of latest averages, but if so, use Mountain for him, leaving more riders free to take R/R.

May have other commitments at the time of broadcast, and only wish to see the racing.
-
Forgive my technical ignorance, but would this mean you can only watch it live?, and be unable to fast forward between races?
-
Instead of having a camera etc at non featured matches, why not use the resources, to show an extra match, to replace the rained off one?

Kings Lynn Stars v Sheffield Tigers 19/08/21
RS50 replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I seem to recall that a few years ago, a match at Sheffield was re scheduled, due indirectly, to some horse racing meeting somewhere. Anyone remember this. Surely there must be something in the rental agreement about when speedway can/ can't have access to the stadium. Have heard Sheffield management praising the stadium owner's on previous occasions. Can't be too many opportunities to stage the match, before play offs, cut off date. -
Since my original post, Sheffield Speedway have now posted on their Facebook page, confirming, the change, citing stadium unavailability. Whilst I appreciate they do not own the stadium, I presume they have a rental agreement, which gives them rights, as well as obligations, which I would have thought would be taken in to account when agreeing fixtures.

Just reading a post on another thread, I have found out that the home match against Kings Lynn, has either been postponed or cancelled. Per the fixture list, Tigers are now away on that date. I am really at a loss to understand why a match is taken off the fixture list like this, without a new date being arranged, and why better attention is not drawn to these actions, so fans who wish to go, can make arrangements. Definitely feels like they are working against, rather than with the fans, and totally fail to understand why.

Batchelor and Bates, potentially, could be two riders on bargain averages.
-
I don't, can you tell me why?

Just going slightly off topic, but the original post mentioned supplementary reserve. I vaguely remember this term, from when I started going to speedway, at a very young age, but was never sure what it was ( and was soon replaced by two reserves). Could someone enlighten me as to what exactly the supplementary reserve was, and how their position differed from the number 7 reserve. Thanks

And if he comes to Sheffield as an opposition rider, and does well, certainly won't improve his popularity.
