How does this work for championship riders who don't double up? For example, I understand that last season, six of the Scunthorpe team only rode for that team only.

How genuine is this information? Whilst Premier won't want to lose Sheffield, reckon Championship would welcome them.

Sheffield prefer Thursday, but ran a few on Monday, and one National League on Wednesday. Stadium is used for greyhound racing, so restricted by that.

Does Peter Mole own half? I always assumed he was a promoter only.

Ok so who would this be? I'm not in the know, but could only realistically think that maybe Wolverhampton. Could the stadium owners decide they want the rent etc from speedway? Also to get the top league up to 6 teams, would need Sheffield to be confirmed as a starter. Not heard anything definite on this.

If it's true, that it's been put back from November to January, I wonder what decisions can be made then, but not now. Anyone have any serious ideas?

I can remember some betting at a track, many years ago. You had to guess the finishing order, by helmet colour, and the decimal point of the race time. Always seemed like, although speedway knowledge would help for the first part, the second was just random luck. Was not a success so the bookies gave it up. I personally thought at the time, that if races got delayed, so bets could be put on, that I would give up following speedway.

Sounds optimistic about a buyer being found, but would it need to be finalised before the AGM, so a team can be entered in a league?

When is this year's AGM? Presume that's when decisions will be announced.

Part of the reason it closed was due to Sheffield switching to Sunday racing.

Thanks. Would not want it for speedway GB. Don't want any less races, still remember the old days with around 21 races including second half. I don't suppose admission prices would be adjusted to reflect the reduction in races or riders. Presume there would be no rider replacement, with only five riders. Could be an issue if any rider had to withdraw early due to injury.

Could someone post the Danish race format on here. Would like to see how it works.
