Cricket scenario simply explained. If teams draw they get 5 points. However unlike any other sport a draw does not mean both sides finished equally. It means they did not finish at all. In cricket if you finish equally it is a tie, unlike snooker where a tie is what the players wear round their neck.

Perhaps speedway should follow golf and make the lowest scorer the winner.

And in tennis if you win the first rally you get 15 points, if you win the second you get a further 15, making your score 30, but win the third rally and it's only worth another 10. Anyone explain that?

Really. In rugby you can deliberately put your opponent on the floor. Not sure too many referees would allow this in speedway.

Why can not Sheffield speedway make a statement to explain the contradiction on their website? Or would they prefer everyone to turn up on the wrong date and have no gate receipts when it is staged. The fans are not the enemy.

Kemp Kennedy almost identical averages. Sheffield current total(excluding either Kemp Kennedy) 35.16. Nicol listed as 4.34 so would be under 40 point limit.

I believe this is for 2 weeks only with last Sunday being the last one. Anyone confirm?
