  1. Pirates have 1st dibs on Batch http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/14962426.Speedway__Pirates_have_first_option_on_Batchelor/?ref=twtrec
  2. Let's get the fine tooth comb and look into the credentials 1. GRW - Seriously concerned he's managed to make the No1 jacket. Can quickly lose confidence and patience in his team mates and starts to focus attention in the wrong areas. 2. GB - Although 2nd string should definitely captain the side. Peripherally aware of everything going on and deals with negativity well. 3. TellBoy - Solid 3rd heatleader, goes about his job professionally but always seems to be the forgotten man. 4. Dizzy - Silent Assassin, should provide excellent team riding with Tell. Don't see much but if someone tries to bully those elbows come out and you know they're there. 5. Trees - Probably should be the No7 rather than 2nd heatleader imo. Although experienced like Bomber Harris, never seems to recognise the failings around the team and always passing off the blame elsewhere. Could be the 1st one sacked. 6. StarLady - Strongest reserve in the sport. Hard as nails on the opposition and not frightened to kick out that right leg if they get to close. Unfortunately (hence why a reserve) more often than not goes missing from meetings. 7. Mungo - Surprised to see this lad in the side. Once very passionate about this team but over recent seasons has been very lacking and spent more time mingling with other teams the judas. Can see where the gaffer Semion has gone with this team but if it was down to me, I'd probably gone: 1. Speedball 2. Haza 3. Tell 4. Dizzy 5. Gordon Bennett 6. GRW 7. Trees 8. StarLady
  3. What's left in terms of rider's for Leicester? Possibly your 3 most committed riders have gone elsewhere in Hougaard, Starke & Klindt plus Wozniak not interested in the uk. 1. Aaron Summers 8.57 2. Kenneth Hansen 6.74 3. Richie Worrall 8.49 4. Rory Schlein 7.17 5. Lewis Bridger 8.52 6. Simon Lambert 5.26 7. Adam Roynon 5.12 49.87
  4. No doubt if Poole had of got Vaculik they'd of kept C.Holder. If the BSPA stick to the PL regulations Vaculik would be an 8.00 1. C.Holder 12.53 2. J.Holder 7.16 3. Kurtz 7.65 4. Newman 6.31 5. Vaculik 8.00 6. Klindt 5.42 7. Shanes 2.00 49.07
  5. Nope, promoter's seem to look at making money from existing customer bases hence why it's continually dumbing down the product to try and make a profit. Promoting the sport is nonexistent, totally reliant on word of mouth and as long as the sport continues with that approach it'll just keep bumble along totally invisible to 95% of the UK population. Who's in the 1-7's is irrelevant to supporters, the product isn't exciting the current customer and the turnover of new is minimal.
  6. They got the finances from everything as they had effectively a mortgage so were classed as owners. The new promotion if rumour is true will be just tenants renting from the council.
  7. Those are the t&c's for every renting promotion. Food & drink always goes to the venue owners
  8. If i'm correct it looks like 2017 is Robert Lambert's last season for the NL 2.5% reduction as he first rode EL in 2014. For team building it makes him 8.70
  9. I disagree. The gap between the two leagues is still quite significant. There's not any Championship side that would get close to a Premiership team in a head to head so far
  10. Not necessarily. So many factors to consider with the main one, injuries. There's not many teams that end a season with the same 1-7
  11. Everyone knows the issues Holder's had over the last few seasons, from 2013. Last season he showed he'd turned a corner and getting back to somewhere near his best
  12. Anyone know if the Aus Champs will be streamed live? If I remember correctly, I'm sure I watched it last season
  13. Because as SCB says, the BSPA were going to make all foreign averages be a minimum of 5.00 but changed it to 4.00 See below http://www.speedwaygb.co/files/downloads/2017_team_building_numerical.pdf
  14. If Holder is in I'll be chuffed to bits I certainly hold no fears that he'll come to King's Lynn just to reduce his average. An around 9 average and it's job done. People need to get the converted averages out of their minds as for most riders they'll not be achievable. The team averages are to drop to 42.00 for the first greensheets. This is the figure that should be in mind and whether the team built can surpass that figure and I believe (if we have) the team below it most certainly will. 2016 EL ave (2017 Converted) 1. Chris Holder 8.95 (12.53) 2. Nikolas Porsing 4.99 (6.99) 3. Troy Batchelor 5.26 (7.36) 4. Lewis Rose 5.00 (6.12) 5. Robert Lambert 7.08 (8.92) 6. Kai Huckenbeck 3.67 (5.14) 7. Josh Bailey 3.00 (2.05) 37.95 (49.11)
  15. Great idea except for the fact that you'd have to fit in 32 away fixtures also The league fixture programme consists of about 26 weeks (taking out World Cup week to)
  16. No, they go on the website when the press officer has received the details. They're not BSPA ratified details.
  17. Belle Vue would be nuts to drop Fricke for any of those you mention. If anything Richie Worrall & Williamson are the 2 I'd take out and go with: 1. Max Fricke 9.92 2. Kenneth Hansen 6.74 3. Steve Worrall 8.47 4. Victor Palovaara 5.81 5. Craig Cook 9.83 6. Adam Roynon 5.12 7. Dan Bewley 3.90 I know there are riders in there that you'll go "WTF" to but the NSS is fast and Hansen, Palovaara & Roynon have always been quick. All 3 can do a job away too. I can't see Belle Vue being without Fricke, Cook, S. Worrall & Bewley so those other 3 would be great fill-ins imo.
  18. TMC had some great points in his post & semi-pro is the way forward. A lot of riders today are having to do 2nd jobs to make it pay but the hand should be forced to reduce the riders costs in uk racing. Off the shelf, how much are 4 complete bikes? £20,000??? This is how I'd set about straightening speedway in the uk (excuse my maths but hopefully you get where I'm going with it) Clubs pay a yearly fee to the equivalent of 2 meetings riders points money to run into a BSPA Central Account Fixed points money for all 3 divisions Clubs pay weekly fees to the equivalent of 90 points (75 + 15 bonus points) to a BSPA Central Account BSPA pays rider's wages based on the referees score card (excluding fines) from the BSPA Central Account NL £20 per point - £7 admission - 515 people to break even Championship £60pp - £10 admission - 1080 people to break even Premiership £100pp - £13 admission - 1385 people to break even Sponsorship for both clubs & riders are there to help fill gaps in purchasing equipment and running costs etc At the end of every season any money accumulated in the "BSPA Central Account" is shared out to all clubs NL 20% Championship 30% Premiership 40% The remaining 10% is used by the BSPA for shared events & youth development the following season British riders should still have the ambition to compete in Poland, Sweden, GP's etc but the money going out of British clubs shouldn't be financing that. That finance should be sourced from those leagues and sponsorship
  19. 1. Freddie Lindgren 10.09 2. Kyle Howarth 7.18 3. Sam Masters 8.97 4. Rory Schlein 7.17 5. Jacob Thorssell 9.88 6. Max Clegg 4.34 7. Nathan Greaves 2.32 49.95
  20. It's their opinion to which they're entitled to. Also imo Somerset look dreadful
  21. This will be his 4th year in the PL so should he get a reduction?
  22. https://www.facebook.com/somersetcasesrebels/?ref=ts&fref=ts https://twitter.com/casesrebels
  23. The moon is out too but it's very cold outside
  24. What makes you say that? Plenty of room to fit a big hitter at No'1. Lawson would be a terrible signing imo
