What absolute bullocks. Manchester City Council financed the project. The amount of finances Gordon & Morton put in would have got exactly what other promoters could afford. Other city/town councils have far less disposable finances for these type of projects

Tony Rice looks like a man with his hands in a lot of pies and certainly not short of capital. Robin Southwell isn't short of a bob or two either. Looks like the perfect match to take the Belle Vue project forward without any threats to it's future at all Only positives can come out of this and this pair will certainly rattle Ford's cage. Belle Vue are back Well done Buster in getting shot of the previous pair of calamity morons

It's all there, Riders, BSPA, SCB, other promotions, etc. -
Bspa Chairman - Keith Chapman

I would expect the situation to have been resolved during the lease agreement I will pay you £xxxxx for a 15 year lease but £xxxxx will be deducted to pay outstanding debts + the BSPA fine waivered. Hence Bates was only willing to buy the promotion rights when all debts are cleared -

Bspa Chairman - Keith Chapman
Daniel Smith replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If you watched the Facebook videos he said it was his own money, nothing to do with the BSPA -
I have been pretty vocal on how he neglected his own club last season but changes have been made to fix that. KC always kept saying judge him on 2017 as it's when he gets his hands fully on the job. Credit where it's due, no previous chairman has put so much effort in trying to save clubs even plunging his own money into keeping Leicester alive clearing debts. There will be haters but Keith Chapman absolute deserves praise for his dealings over this closed season

You would have thought so but the Swindon management seem gullible to what they're being told.

King's Lynn Stars 2017

I'm not sure how a shared No7 will work as it doesn't seem part of the regulations as no other club has taken up that option. If that was a rule to do that the better rider's would have been sucked up already by the bigger clubs. -
Not really, the issue was selling to Sandhu in the first place. Believing that he was going to build a brand new stadium was foolish. He'd always admitted he purchased the land for housing. When that didn't come to fruition he just sold it to an invisible business to try and build houses so it's much of a muchness really. Brandon Estates honoured the lease for Stox & Speedway to continue for an extra 3 seasons so they haven't really done an awful lot wrong themselves. There does need to be some serious investigative work done though to find if there is a connection between Sandhu & Brandon Estates as that would change everything.

HC is correct if you believe everything that the Stox were saying. Horton was due to take the stadium lease in January. From that point Stox were to have an agreement with Horton to run Stox's Previous to this Stox announced they'd negotiated the stadium lease fees & team sponsorship package for Horton & the Coventry Bees with Brandon Estates Stox also agreed to contribute towards the stadium running costs Stox also stated on 3 occasions as they were just about to sign the agreement with Horton, Horton wanted to change the T's & C's Numerous time the local councillor had to negotiate with Horton & Stox Agreements reached then not etc Brandon Estates only became part of the issue when Sandhu took his toys Thus making it impossible for Horton to sign the stadium lease with Brandon Estates.

When you read the report above it clearly suggests that it wasn't the individual rider ***** (Woffy's) decision to manipulate others into calling off the meeting. It says: "After all riders had completed the track time, ***** came to me privately to say that he did not want to ride. At this point a few other riders had formed a group in the middle of the pits and in the interests of discretion I asked them to make their way to the meeting room. I asked Chris to join me and we began discussing their concerns, still with the hope that the issue could be resolved. At this point, only ***** had said that he did not want to ride, but had not to my knowledge said this to the other riders." "All riders comments remained constructive but the longer the discussions continued, the level of concern about the track cutting up and safety fears grew. The riders asked to have a private discussion where I requested that Mark Lemon be able to stay, as I believe all the riders have respect for Mark and we would be able to get an honest report of their opinion." "I rejoined the meeting where it had been agreed that myself and Mark would discuss with Colin Meredith any possible solutions. We looked at the track briefly again before returning to the meeting room with Colin. During this discussion, it was apparent that no solutions the riders would be happy with could be completed in a realistic time frame, and the riders were unanimous in their decision that they did not want to ride. Chris, David and Graham arrived back in the meeting room and it was agreed that we had no choice but to abandon the meeting." So, with all that, at no point does it suggest that any blame can be directed at an individual rider i.e. *****.

Maybe Speedway could be like track cycling with separate events in one night & going to 6 man teams 4 Lap Race Sprint - Match races x6 2 laps No1 v No1, No2 v No2 etc Point scoring of 1 for the winner, 0 for loser Team sprint - Standard 6 Heats No2 & No6 v No2 & No6, 3 & 4 v 3 & 4, 1 & 5 v 1 & 5 Race each other twice Standard point scoring system of 3,2,1,0 16 Lap Race Team pursuit - 4 heats Home team start/finish from the home straight Away team start/finish from the back straight Heat 1 - No2, 4, 6 v No1, 3, 5 Heat 2 - No1, 3, 5 v No2, 4, 6 Heat 3 - No2, 4, 6 v No2, 4, 6 Heat 4 - No1, 3, 5 v No1, 3, 5 Point scoring of 5,4,3,2,1,0 First team of 3 riders across the finish pick up 5 bonus points No need for filling in a program either as there would be a BSPA app / Website that has real time live results with these being completed direct from the meeting referee

While this is true I believe there has been cases of individual council bosses taking people to court. -
And they've realise their mistake and happily now watch Cradley at Wolverhampton.

It's extremely disappointing that Coventry fans are insisting it's Brandon or nothing. It's 30mins down the road!?! If King's Lynn were in the same predicament and had to go to Peterborough I don't think many Stars fans would have a problem with that. If the Bees get a lifeline of survival and the fans turn their back on it then I'm afraid you'd be as responsible for the closure of the club than anyone else. if it's a 6-12 month solution it has to be backed by the supporters
-
There's always a positive to any negative I suppose It would be a temporary solution until the current stadium issues get resolved I should imagine. If the stadium issues can't be resolved then Coventry would be finished from 2018. If there's hope of a club continuing all avenues should be considered & used.

Promoter not promoters. Dave Darcy doesn't want the Bee's at Leicester but it's not his decision. Buster is the owner of Leicester Speedway and if Coventry are homeless it'll be his decision & his only regardless of Darcy's opinion.

no because the engines will be factory sealed. If the seal is tampered with then they'll not be permitted for use in the British league

I'm in no way a fan of the Horton's in Speedway but that statement from Brandon Estates tells me Horton has been stitched up. What happened to Brandon Estates not saying anything until the Police investigation is completed? Funny how this has come out a day after the BSPA say Coventry have until Friday!! It stinks of conspiracy and it wouldn't at all surprise me if from Friday when Horton has to declare the Bees won't be running that all the fixtures & fittings required to run just Stox start to reappear.
