  1. 15 is a lot to pluck out, especially if you're not up with the PL / NL scene. My select few: Ellis Thorssell King Tungate Masters Starke Rose S. Worrall Kennett
  2. Wow, It seems this meeting is cancelled according to Nicklas Porsing's manager Official KLStars twitter confirmed it: "King's Lynn Speedway ‏@KLSpeedway UPDATE | Our meeting at Leicester this Friday is OFF. This is beyond our control, our riders were ready but we were informed today."
  3. You potentially have a reasonably young side in progress and if rumours are to be true of Holder moving on Harris could be a good addition with an experienced head. Just don't take set-up advice from him though
  4. I'll never agree with any rider that says they've gone to a small track to develop because it develops nothing when the ambition should be to race in the top leagues in Poland, Sweden and international individual racing.
  5. oh well, Wolves should have the Play-Offs in the bag. Belle Vue absolutely dross
  6. Genuinely looking forward to tonight and Wednesday. This could be one of the best play-off finals since 2010 imo
  7. Setting averages based on the supposed "strength" is as false as any other average system. If a rider is hitting 9 average in Ekstraliga or Elitserien doesn't mean they'll do the same in the Elite League. In fact, more often than not most rider's averages decrease due to how technical the track are here in the UK.
  8. I think Lambert will be pleased and call it a job well done to pick up the bronze. Well done to the lad
  9. Looks like the Pole's are sulking and knocked the stream off
  10. Hansen win he gets 3rd Hansen 2nd 3 way race-off??? (Lambert, Holder, Hansen) anything else 2 way race-off??? (Lambert, Holder) ???
  11. That 2nd Semi result means Lambert's picked up at least a medal right?
  12. At least the Pole didn't win it. Congratulations to Max Fricke
  13. Lambert has been abysmal so far. Age is no excuse he's just morphing into the next Chris Harris
  14. You are absolutely correct that those clauses can be given to any employee. It doesn't matter whether you're self employed or not. It's perfectly within EU employment law for an employer to offer exclusivity rights. Just to put one thing right, Pro Footballers ARE self employed signed to exclusivity contracts that have a start and end date. Footballers pay managers / agents fees to negotiate contracts, sponsorship and image rights etc. Speedway riders are in a no different position and maybe Poland are looking to becoming more of a professionally run business, set weekly wages and squad training sessions. If any country could run Speedway on the Football model it would be Poland. In terms of team Speedway it's every riders ambition to get a spot in the Ekstraliga, no different to Footballers looking to the Premier League or La Liga
  15. good job they're not female as they'd still be nagging on about the best washing up liquid, cooking pans and ironing boards
  16. With Poland's latest stunt think all is in the air If they go through with it you won't be seeing: Holder KK Lindback Janowski Milik etc etc
  17. Link? No link required, Buster said it wasn't happening at the last EL meeting at King's Lynn during an interview
  18. There is no 6 man team option next season. The idea failed and has been scrapped hence test meetings cancelled. Most EL promoters are looking to remove the EDR system as it's run it's purpose in their eye's but are looking to accommodate British riders into every team in the 2017 system. In terms of the EDR's averages for 2017, the fairest option is to use their EL 2016 averages minus 20%
  19. The top Danes certainly won't go for it. They have to ride a certain amount of meetings in there own league and certainly want to maintain their Swedish commitments.
  20. Here's the rule again: "16.3.4.1:- A 7-day window, prior to the scheduled date of the first EL Play-Offs will enable EL Clubs only to replace long-term Injured riders, but not with riders in other EL Team Declarations." Now, being sensible the wording "long-term" can be interpreted in two ways Season ending from the date of the 7 day window Been out of action for a period prior to the Play-Offs "long-term", what does that mean? When creating rules surely there should be a figure allocated to that and to what side of the 7 day window the injury is to be classed as "long-term"? There's also this rule: "16.3.4:- No Team changes will be allowed after 28th August with the effective date being 31st August, except for riders returning to the Team after injury." This tells me that if things don't work out for Lindbäck and Andersen feels he's ready he can be reintroduced for the Play-Off Final if Poole make it. The other issue regarding Lindbäck's average, as I've said previously I think that was fair and individual events can't be used as a comparative tool. League team averages only and within the regulations only the previous seasons figures (2015) could have been used. Elitserien 2015 - 7.58 NICE Liga 2015 - 8.75 (2nd tier conversion x0.6) 5.25 2015 = 6.42 The only thing that has come up fishy for me is the Pedersen injury.
  21. What Poole would like, what Poole will get are exactly the same thing
