  1. can't agree, imo it's been really enjoyable. Brilliant close racing
  2. Lindbäck riding like a 7 point man tonight. BSPA are a switched on crew
  3. Can see why people are upset but Poole have done everything by the book. These issues are with the BSPA and nobody else.
  4. Can't gate for toffee and that alongside Lambert would be a nightmare. Adrian Flux Arena has turned into a trappers paradise and we're desperate for some in our team just to turn over heat wins.
  5. Harris alongside Doyle at Swindon is my guess. Don't think he'll be a good fit for us at King's Lynn as we're desperate for trappers. Harris & Lambert in the same team would be my worst nightmare.
  6. Seen that so Poole's team change is absolutely 'bob on' & hats off to Matt Ford once again being ahead of the rest
  7. In terms of Lindbäck's reassessed average it's spot on. Being a GP rider is totally irrelevant when giving riders assessed averages. It's all to do with how they've performed in foreign league competitions based on the previous season. In 2015 Lindbäck obtained a 7.58 average in the Elitserien. Lindbäck also only raced the Polish 2nd tier in 2015 with an 8.75 average. With those figures a 7.00 is the absolute maximum the BSPA could possibly give after being away from the British League for more than 3 years. The only thing that doesn't sit correct is if Hans Andersen rides in the Euro's on Saturday. If he does his injury status isn't season ending & long term, only then could & should Lindbäck's inclusion be contested. IMO, the press release from Poole is either premature or they know Hans isn't going to be available Saturday.
  8. Tin hats on The forum is about to go into a melt down
  9. Wilko wouldn't have been riding if we'd of had a fully fit squad 1. Iversen 2. S.Lambert 3. R.Lambert 4. Huckenbeck 5. Batchelor 6. Porsing 7. Rose But still believe Poole would have taken all 4 points by at least a 10 point margin if they'd also have had Andersen in their team. Would also of been an even better meeting too imo
  10. Thoroughly enjoyed tonight's meeting regardless of the result. Considering nothing was really on this meeting a few rider's were really putting themselves about, great to see. For me, rider of the night was Holder, an absolute joy when he's on it and flexed his muscles on Lambert in heat 6. Also, a new fan has been born tonight. My daughters first meeting and she absolutely loved it. Maybe her beaming face and enthusiasm may rekindle the love for this sport. Kids really do see it for what it is.
  11. I'd have chosen Wednesday. Niels is missing anyway but we'd of had the added bonus of no Batchelor
  12. Poole have to get there first. Not a forgone conclusion, especially if they (most likely) face Wolverhampton in the semi's.
  13. yep, really. Couldn't see him pulling up any trees around a Monmore or Blunsdon as they're quite technical. No matter how good a rider is in Poland & Sweden these British tracks always nips em' on the bum
  14. I genuinely don't believe Poole are doing anything untoward here. Andersen is injured, had an operation and wants to risk Saturday. The likelihood of him aggravating the injury is high. I'm not seeing the issue if a change is made. In fact, a change will weaken Poole as imo guests would be Poole's better and stronger option if Andersen isn't available. There's not 1 rider out there this late in the season that will make a significant difference, not even a Dudek.
  15. Almost every year these threads appear. When Poole top the table there doesn't tend to be a big deal made. In fact, most can't wait for Poole to be taken apart in the Play-Offs (which is rare the last few years) after topping the league. Play-Off winners are League Champions Finishing top after 28 matches gives that team 1st pick of opponents and 2nd leg at home. That's the benefits of coming top of the league, nothing more, nothing less.
  16. There'll be no Iversen so probably Chris Harris as guest
  17. A couple of middle order forgotten men just crossed my mind that are going well this season Andžejs Ļebedevs may be worth another shot on a 4.50 assessed average Timo Lahti seems to be on good form abroad with 5.45 average Kevin Wolbert his last EL average was 5.04
  18. We as a fan really need something to look forward to within this season. Pride & passion clearly missing from the management team imo. Buster has pretty much assured us that we're remaining Elite in 17. JC has hinted at a couple of changes for next season i.e. track prep and PR which fingers crossed that's correct. Team wise, very difficult to be realistic rather than stupid choices like Sayfutdinov, Dudek etc. Going by suggestions that the EDR will be dropped, 6 man teams a no go and working by current average setups, May be: 1. Iversen 8.99 2. Porsing 4.70 3. Lambert 6.92 4. Rose 5.00 5. Smolinski 7.56 6. T.Kurtz 3.75 7. Huckenbeck 3.56 Average: 40.48 Not an overly inspired selection but can't think of much else to tickle the waters so to speak
  19. There isn't fewer guests R/R in the current PL though due to rule changes from when we were last in that league. To start the season we'd be fine with all our own assets but it's when injuries occur. Employing assets of EL teams or riders already riding for EL teams would see the usual guest R/R problem. Also, already pointed out that the feel good factor we had in the PL was created & built by JC. Apart from probably just 1-2££ cheaper nothing much would be different to the current atmosphere problems around the stadium we already have. Also the regular race night is a bit of a myth. This season we'll of had 14 home fixtures, the PL fixtures are the same number, including their League Cup competition. What needs sorting above everything next season regardless of what league we're in its how to make the supporter's feel part of the club again.
  20. Stars fans will have your head on a stick for that but I for one agree with you. People say he's progressed because he's maintained a heatleader position. That's nonsense, he's only maintained that position because of abysmal team mates he's had at 2nd string. GP challenge he was handed a 'Chris Harris' style wildcard for wasn't he? Lambert has all the skill in the World to be the absolute best except the most important skill in modern Speedway, gating. Like Harris just doesn't have the ability to do the job consistently. I too am not buying the 'he's only 18' tag either. Far to often British rider's are given time to develop, this has been to our detriment over the years. Denmark, Sweden & Poland put high demands on their youth rider's. If it ain't working they know about it. GB, "ah bless him, he's 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 etc etc, he'll come good". I just find this kind of nicely nicely attitude to much Just my 2p
  21. Good meeting from Toft for the Stars The rest don't deserve a mention
  22. I hope some words were had with Buster over that? Half a house brick is an absolute disgrace and is an incredibly serious H&S 'Near Miss'. Is the Clerk of Course aware and reported?
  23. Swedish Play-Offs are next Monday & Tuesday Guests it will be
  24. Harris for Iversen Branford for S.Lambert Oh dear KING’S LYNN: 1. Chris Harris (G) 2. Robert Branford (G) 3. Robert Lambert 4. Kai Huckenbeck 5. Troy Batchelor 6. Nicklas Porsing 7. Carl Wilkinson
