  1. Spotted an issue already SpeedwayGB have said averages will be real as of the 1st set of greensheets. If the premiership team building is 50 it's almost impossible for any team to maintain that figure. Effectively, the teams with the biggest wallets can replace reserves for heatleaders after the 1st set of averages. The gap from top to bottom of the Premiership could be bigger than ever
  2. Both leagues using the same averages is quite a big change. The top league going back to the original 15 format is a big change. Brining the KO Cup back into the top league is quite a big change. The BSPA are looking at doing something with Gerhard & ruduced rider costs, quite a big change. Seeing Rye House & Somerset in the Premiership is exciting for the division. 2 tracks I like anyway.
  3. Well, I applaud the BSPA for looking to make radicle changes. I'm not going to complain as it looks like they've really had a go but a couple of questions for me Is doubling up still allowed If so, what happens if a rider/riders ride for the same teams in the promotion - relegation battle??? Think he's assuming.
  4. Morton & Gordon may of just lost their legendary status with the Belle Vue fans pretty much bankrupting the club. The statement give huge indication that debts are owed all over the place not just rent. So the question is: What happened to all the gate receipts??

  6. There hasn't been any other announcements other than Lakeside withdrawing from the EL
  7. HUGE LATEST NEWS: Lakeside WILL NOT compete in the 2017 Elite League
  8. HUGE LATEST NEWS: Lakeside WILL NOT compete in the 2017 Elite League
  9. Woffinden is an exception as he was riding in Poland before riding for Wolves so the doors were open to him very early. Not many, if any Brits get that kind of luck at 18/19 yrs old
  10. As a British fan I hope not. He's developing really well the last thing Ellis should do is waste valuable time at a trick track. For me, any young Brit that's showing potential should stay away from small tracks as they just stall any riders career
  11. Before the 2016 season I'd of had Watt in the Stars side but taking a risk is exactly what the Stars don't want to do in 2017 The Aussie Champs won't be much of an indication of where Watt is whether the results are good or bad as he's in his homeland comfort zone around friends and family. We need a solid and physically / mentally fit 7 from the off.
  12. Can't see Iversen being part of 2017 due to Ekstraliga regulations
  13. Any Danes that ride in the Ekstraliga will be the least demanded riders. They're only allowed to race two other leagues including their own Danish league. There's absolutely no way they'll pick Elite League over Elitserien
  14. Holder was still chasing down a medal chance hence Zmarzlik's complaint. Hancock only had 1 chance to help Holder as they only meet once in the heat format and the medal challenger (Zmarzlik) happened to also be in that heat. In the heat Holder was 1st, Zmarzlik 4th until Hancock's exclusion. Holder finished just 2 points behind Zmarzlik for 3rd overall. Had Hancock not been excluded he'd of likely made the Semi's + possible Final. A further opportunity to hand points to Holder and/or take points from Zmarzlik. After Hancock sealed the World Championship the objective was to get "Team Monster" an overall 1-2-3. Hancock's sulking off did effect the outcome imo to the detriment of his own sponsors & Holder
  15. WTF Swindon are mile ahead of King's Lynn. The none running of this meeting has made no difference to the Play-Off situation
  16. There's loads on this meeting. You're looking at it from just a World title perspective. Zmarzlik & Holder are chasing medal positions. Woffy hanging on to a medal spot. Iversen, Zagar and Lindbäck are chasing down the top 8 while Janowski is looking desperately to hang in there. There was far less on last year's AusSGP with the title done and dusted but it served up some excitement. Just enjoy it, all the rider's will be giving it 100%
  17. Can't agree with any of that at all. When Rob joined us he never came in with superstar credentials, he was a nobody. As a TM you don't need contact's, that's Buster's job as Promoter. Finding someone with trophies is tough as all are taken by existing clubs. The Young Stars lads have nothing but good words for Allitt and was highly praised for his time at Peterborough. http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2740.2

  19. I'm just a tad concerned as just over 3 days until practice and the track still isn't, by a long way completed. Could be a rough nights (mornings) racing
  20. If they're genuinely interested in a fans view then the BSPA should: Hold a pre-AGM and organise an agenda Release the agenda on their Website 2 weeks later each individual club holds a fans forum to go through the agenda Each clubs committee member takes the ideas to the AGM Clubs without a committee membership (new promoters) their idea's sent directly to the BSPA Chairman Holding a forum at a single venue is pointless and doubly pointless after the event has taken place.
  21. The home clubs yes as it's their responsibility to complete fixtures
  22. Rumour Alert: It appears Leicester can't get riders as a number of potential guests contacted to ride have asked for payment up front and been refused.
  23. I think Poland are running their ship correctly for their very expensive business. Outside of Individual events the Ekstraliga is the place to be followed by Sweden. I have no issue and congratulate PZM in pushing on with it.
  24. They were great away days down at Rye. Some good banter & heated discussions on turns 1-2. Racing not always great but the atmosphere was top draw. Rye House is up there with the away trips to Ipswich & Peterborough for me Miss those meetings a lot
