I hope this doesn't come across sounding disrespectful and hopefully Ivan will be with us for a long time to come but when we lose anyone everyone says good things about them. I was just wondering if most forum members think Ivan was the best ever. I started following speedway mid 70s when I think he had won 4 of his titles so it's arguable if he's best days were just behind him but in the 75 season I'm sure he was virtually unbeatable. From my viewpoint he may not have been the most exciting rider but I really think overall he's been the best ever taking professionalism to another level. When he came to Dudley Wood I remember standing in awe watching him. Hope this has comes across as a tribute to the great man and as I say not disrespectful
I actually think the concept of 4 riders 4 laps is as good as its ever been even in Britain it's just the absolute b***ocks regarding rules that turns the sport into a laughing stock. If anything the riders today are as skilful if not better than riders of the past
I don't follow the Polish league but I take it this is the 2nd division, what the hecks happened to Bydgoszcz. I've been a couple of times a few years ago when they were a top team with the best track anywhere
When the season started I'm sure a lot of clubs seemed to be getting decent crowds but with every shambles that comes along (on a regular basis) I'm sure that's why fans are giving up. As usual I planned to do a fair few meetings but with lack of regular meetings I've lost a bit of interest and have not done as many as I intended
I'm proberly in a minority of heathen fans but would have preferred a kid, might mean we're out the play offs but it's supposed to be a development league. Just my views
If teams can't bring a rider in then most will end up with less than full teams in about 6 weeks because of injuries. I can see a shambles on the horizon
