  1. Run Cradley first!!!! Yeh that makes sense. A lot of Cradley fans won't go to the Wolves meeting so will turn up at half 7 . Also I'd imagine the NL riders won't be there and ready to race at 6 just in case Wolves riders are delayed. I'm actually wondering if it's worth bothering tonight. Gets you that way this speedway mullarkey
  2. If there's a delay at the Poole meeting then riders hit traffic on the way to Monmore then the Wolves meeting could become a shambles and that could hit our meeting which is already looking a bit of a shambles anyway. Another dark day for speedway today? Hope not
  3. I was there and he rolled in his last two slightly
  4. Thing is Beowulf this was always going to happen at Kings Lynn tonight
  5. True, they do know how to run a meeting, hope incidents don't go against them though. The sport can ill afford any more cock ups!!!!
  6. It should never have been attempted in the first place with a 7.30 start, looks like Wolves are going to try it on 4th September. Another shambles in the making?
  7. i was going to do the 8 prem tracks this year just for something to add to the season. il only manage 7, guess which one im not going to bother with
  8. Hancock definately deserves one but not Holder he's a shadow of the rider of 5 years ago. Seems to have lost the bottle to mix it. Understandable but there's better choices out there
  9. Watched the meeting last night and didn't think it was as bad as was being made out on here, watched it in just over half hour though. Was looking forward to Doyle's antics but couldn't really see what he did to get hung drawn and quartered. Maybe I skipped it without realising
  10. Hiya Sid thanks for that I remember it well, well nearly.lol. I was at the Boulger meeting as well against Reading and nearly remember that. Lol. If my memory carries on like this il wake up one morning and have forgotten who went to bed
  11. I was at that one Sid didn't Bernie Persson let us down in heat 13 riding at No1 and it ended up 40-38
  12. Just watched it if that's the highlight heat I'm glad I didn't bother going
  13. I remember a story from I think Larry Ross in SS and I think it must have been the World pairs in Poland I think. They told him and Ivan that there pit area was out in the blazing sun and Larry was going to accept it but Ivan set up in the shade. Larry said they'll throw us out the meeting and Ivan said let them try. He knew he was more important than the officials were to the meeting .lol. Story was along those lines
  14. Well done Cookie thought he had a great chance after last season then the start of this but then thought he had no chance after the last few months. Did brilliant especially after a first ride last I believe
  15. Fair comment Agree with what you say but however he did it, it was a fantastic win and a great night
  16. When we came back in 2010 Tom Perry and Ash Morris were 15 year olds I think and both looked good prospects but Toms still riding for us and Ash is still in reality a CL reserve, I've seen a good few youngsters in the NL in the past 8 seasons but there's not a lot gone on to the highest level in reality
  17. I did intend doing all the PL tracks this year on top of our home and away meetings plus about half a dozen random meetings but I think apathys set in. Was going to come to this one but can't be bothered with all the shambles going on this season I reckon all enthusiasm been knocked out of me. Just tried to explain the KL v Wolves double header to my wife, guess what she shook her head in disbelief. Her comment of if it starts at half 7 they'll never finish both meetings. This is someone whose only ever been to 2 meetings
  18. I hope this doesn't come across sounding disrespectful and hopefully Ivan will be with us for a long time to come but when we lose anyone everyone says good things about them. I was just wondering if most forum members think Ivan was the best ever. I started following speedway mid 70s when I think he had won 4 of his titles so it's arguable if he's best days were just behind him but in the 75 season I'm sure he was virtually unbeatable. From my viewpoint he may not have been the most exciting rider but I really think overall he's been the best ever taking professionalism to another level. When he came to Dudley Wood I remember standing in awe watching him. Hope this has comes across as a tribute to the great man and as I say not disrespectful
  19. Wait till he rides for Peterborough but guests against them in the same meeting
  20. It's more proberly that it's that I'd had a drink watching the after meeting interview but it did seem to me he'd had a drink.
  21. I actually think the concept of 4 riders 4 laps is as good as its ever been even in Britain it's just the absolute b***ocks regarding rules that turns the sport into a laughing stock. If anything the riders today are as skilful if not better than riders of the past
  22. I watched the Wembley one which Penhall won a few months back and it wasn't as good as I remember it except a couple of classic races
