  1. I've done Somerset a fair few times and always seen cracking racing, M5 on a Friday's a nightmare though. Really enjoyed Glasgow seemed upbeat and loads of youngsters which was unusual for speedway. Went up and back the same day, no problem! Had an overnight stay when we did Edinburgh then Workington. Still got Newcastle, Berwick and Redcar to do so that's my plan for next season
  2. I think I'm on the verge of giving up on team speedway, whoever runs or doesn't next year I think il just pick my meetings up and down the country and have days out but not when there's a hint of rain about
  3. I really don't think we could run at Perry Barr without the Brummies being main residents and call ourself Cradley. Just wouldn't sit right for some reason and I don't think enough of us would keep going there. Funnily enough though I think it would work at Monmore without the Wolves. Monmore seems more like home for some reason. Never thought I'd say that years ago
  4. Anyone get a feeling it's the end of the brummies and us
  5. First two heats were a bit tentative but not dangerous, Cook going through the tapes was deliberate. After heat 3 the track was graded and Josh Auty came out full blast. Next heat Cook flew for 2 and half laps then seemed to realise he was making the track look good so slowed for a lap and half. The ones gone up in my estimation the other one down. God help Cook in the gps if he leaves a gap with one of the young Poles behind him. Plenty changes of underpants. The racing for the next 5 heats wasn't too bad getting better with each race. To then call it off was a shambles as the track was the best it had been all night. Quite simply the riders didn't want to ride
  6. If you read between the lines of Rob Godfreys post on the Scunthorpe site it's pretty obvious what went on and the meeting should have carried on. Then again by then most had lost the will to live including Rob by the sound of it though I don't blame him. Lost the will to live mmmm how many times as that been quoted this year
  7. I was there ,that track was race able especially after a couple of heats, the attitude of some of the riders was "I've seen GP riders and other top riders get meetings off now it's our chance to have a strop" .The only way I could justify some of the riders actions was the fact that maybe there just not good enough to handle the conditions. Could I or would I want to ride on it, of course not I'm not a speedway rider but these guys decided they want to ride powerful bikes on dirt tracks. If you don't want to do it don't do it. That track wasn't dangerous. Rant over Il just rant a bit more, if last night had been a NL meeting the riders would have got on with it no problem Rob Godfrey said he's going to give it one more go which I presume he meant next season, good luck to him because I felt like packing it in especially away meetings but I suppose it's my own fault travelling with a chance of rain
  8. Albert has said all I was going to say, il back it up with an utter farce to say the track was getting worse when in fact it was improving with every race. Any rider who was moaning at heat 10 just give them a ban. Tail wagging the dog. You could tell Rob wasn't impressed but stayed diplomatic. Il repeat what's been said loads of times this season that any newbies would never return and that could have lost a few regulars tonight. Well done to the Scunthorpe officials, they did a remarkable job getting it on. Pity the employees run the show these days
  9. I remember him on the Mike at Cradley once saying he didn't understand why Cradley fans boo him. Trouble is he pronounced us as CrAdley. You can imagine how that went down. I'm presuming our fans boo d him for some incident with Penhall. The booing started before the 82 incident
  10. I tried to explain the Cradley team for last Sunday to two mates in the pub last night. Took ages to explain it because they kept laughing
  11. Proberly will be Scunny even though I've been there a good few times, got Newcastle Berwick and Redcar to do so might do a northern tour on the bike next year
  12. Thought of putting my savings in to save us and brum but doesn't look like I've got enough. It is a big piggy bank though
  13. Either this one or Newcastle Sunday, takes hour and half extra to get to Newky and it starts an hour later but I've never been there before and saw Worky at Peterborough last week. Decisions decisions
  14. It'll be like a scene out of Sparticus at Buxton I'm fredbogge no I'm fredbogge
  15. Anyone lost premier sports , I've got it on sky it's taped the Polish meeting earlier today but it's saying it's not available now
  16. Agree,Simmo never did it for me always preferred pc mort, Jessup Louis lee Wilson etc. No idea why
  17. Same here paid £25 for premier sports and this is on live for free, is any Polish meetings on this channel?
  18. My first visit for a good few years, I think last time was when Sam knocked David Howe off (in my opinion) I remember watching from the grass area on the first bend and can remember a fair few people watching from there. There was proberly half a dozen folk there yesterday. Racing wasn't as good as I remember it on previous visits but the weather didn't help matters. The speed was scary though
  19. Riders warned for anticipating the start, isn't that what there supposed to do. If there not moving and don't touch the tapes surely that's a perfect start
  20. I shall be going on my bike tomorrow you never know I might get a ride
