The gypsies have now departed Brandon after the intervention of the Rugby Council leader.. Lets hope more pressure is put on Brandon Estates to ensure proper security oh the site.

I nearly fell over in laughter at the last paragraph in the SCB statement.. Mick Horton has no plans to return the bees to Brandon anytime, even if it were possible.

There has been a fire at Brandon apparently . The old turnstile block has been damaged. Fortunately a neighbour called the fire brigade and saved further damage. With the Gypsies being present on site the photos make a very sad sight. When I read that I immediately thought of the Coventry Bees promotion over the last few years.

Watched the Fleetwood v Leicester FA cup match on tv today and the commentator mentioned that the home teams ground is built on the old speedway track site, also that he watched speedway at Bristol. The problem is that most bees fans don't see the move to Leicester as something that will help to secure the clubs future. The general feeling is that it will hamper the efforts of a more sincere group of people who really do want to get the club up and running with a proper future.Horton is taking the club there for his own reasons, and I suspect large financial support from a company who believe their interests would be better served if the speedway club were " out of the way."
