  2. im no poole fan by a long way but they get the same points limit to build with than all other teams
  3. but every time he gets tested which i believe is more than others he passes the test
  4. if they have not made any money they wont pay tax but books need to be kept and submitted
  5. agree its catch 22 need the income to put a good event on and need to put a entertaining event on to get the crowds in
  6. long walk for any without transport aswell at northside
  7. the problem partly is there are no promoters anymore just people who run speedway tracks glasgow do the kids race like it or loath it but how many others do anything before or during the meeting in the ian thomas days he would get stunt riders ,fire eaters circus performers even rally cars trying to beat lap record amongst other things most tracks now just long periods between heats with nothing not even a rider interview
  8. Cost is a factor 20 quid don't sound much But a family can be 50 quid plus extras burgers ice cream Not many family's can afford that on regular basis Need to make kids as cheap as possible they are future paying fans Has anyone thought or found if there's 2 company's Training track and speedway as separate im sure it's not uncommon to run as 2 separate But id be more inclined that it is something more like this paperwork as non payment as non payment in speedway is more common than some like to admit or to be a bit more fair payment on time
  9. with batch and etheridge been long term uk riders id say bowes or as some have said the club sponsor thingy
  10. if its a visa issue then surely it should only affect the rider or riders not the clubs license and visas should be passed before season but the wording of statement does point to administrative issues could be money could be paperwork we may never find out
  11. anyone any info on the flat track round at northside this weekend all seams very quite listed on comets website as 11 am but nothing else any one know more admission fee and how long its expected to last
  12. ashton was/is better than kyle but you are correct kyle had best of gear so didnt need to learn to race he was always out front so when stepping up was different ball game ashton was competative when he first stepped up but dropped back
  13. someone asked if he culd ride for comets if he wanted to simple answer yes he can but he would need to drop poland nothing about how long hes rode for who ever if he wants to ride england or poland is his choice no one is forcing him but we all know if you get paid poland is where the higher rates are
  14. always rumours regarding riders wages either not getting paid or teams paying higher than others to get the rider they want only the tax man should know thats if there paying uk taxes as we know often some dont and stay away from uk after a good season
  15. did think that was case but was not 100% sure
  16. yes but would have to drop out of poland for some reason poland have first choice years ago it was your home country or rather the country where you held your racing license that had 1st call
  17. bowes looks like he has potential but if hes going to be going poland most weekends cant see him being long term option not sure how the asset thingy is recently but if they can get him past the period when he becomes a asset then if anyone available maybe make change
  18. some riders are expected to carry there youth/ndl form up with them when they start ridding the higher leagues what i will say watching Ashton on streams is he always seamed to be by himself more often than not in pits maybe the issue is more with the pressure on him from his own team or expectation of the people like us watching in he was great as a 15 year old just like william cairns was last year but noticed his scores have dropped a little before he turns 16 and joins poole next weekend
  19. attendance was very poor some good racing and the track held up very well new water bowser will be great in weeks to come just need to use it more and water all the track evenly
  20. Can any one give directions Been a long time since speedway been at nortside Be interesting to see if anti can repeat the form from last night guesting for Oxford And tate had decent night at Redcar
  21. more important topic whats weather like in Manchester today thunders storms further north with enough rain in 5 mins to flood a track for couple of days never mind the lighting thats just struck a tree out my backs
  22. stoney would not come cheap does james actually take a fee ? id be very surprised if james had much to do with team building id say batch was signed expecting tate to keep improving and going to no 1
  23. Comets need the riders that rode last year to perform as they did last year minimum As for the newer riders vinnie is not where he was hook for me (didn't really know much about him ) is doing OK Bowes I think has something once he settles Jye well think all know he can be match winner or do nothing But only 2 home meetings before June is not helping riders or fan base
  24. A regular start time is required In hot dry weather afternoon meetings are no good
