  1. like a few years back when another team refused to rearrange a rain off with Workington until after the cut off point for play offs oh yes there promotor was also on the panel most corrupt sport around if half of what we hear is true
  2. real sorry for all rye house fans and inturn fans of british speedway unfortunately I donk think this will be the only british speedway team to be lost to the sport this year
  3. tony swales use to do that years ago soak it to the base then top up as required
  4. a good track man would mix clay into dry dusty shale to get it to bind as for shale well I suppose you get what you pay for we all know everything in speedway promotion is done as cheap as poss in most cases
  5. I know its hard with the current hot weather but whats peoples views on the recent modern way of track prep where more and more don't like watering anymore
  6. ive told you almost exactly what we were told the person went short of actually naming names
  7. we have been discussing it if you had read back you wouldn't have had to ask maybe the teams who think they have the right to dictate to this rest of the league are waiting for Workington rider shortage before they agree to fixtures
  8. Read the posts then I started this topic by saying THE BSPA HAVE NOW ASKED OR TOLD WORKINGTON to rearrange fixtures that were agreed pre season also 2 clubs who have people on the bspa panel have allready been offered new dates for matches which they have declined It's been the same for previous 2 years for Workington. Teams won't play fair with arranging new dates Workington fans have been told they might have fixture changes at short notice
  9. it would be best if it wasn't someone biased to there own club and done it fair and square
  10. theres not 1 reason it started to drop off before tony mole sold it on the new promotor started of by banning loads who didn't see eye to eye with around 200 were lost almost straight away with everyone who got banned there was probably 2 or 3 friends and family that stopped going there was also a break down in communication between club and fans so a few more drop off in time then the club passed on to the current promotion at first it picked up slightly but again for 1 reason or another similar story break down in communication/relationship between promotion and fans few mistakes been made some corrected some not but same result when 1 stops going the people around them think about it some follow and don't return its a shame as Derwent park can produce some good speedway and over the years ive made some decent friends from speedway it needs fans and promotion to work together there will never be anything that pleases everyone all the time but it cant be all 1 way either
  11. wasn't there a bit of a bad patch on that third bens at Newcastle a while back that a few fell on a bit of a hole as the saying goes
  12. Yeah surprising how some clubs get the fixtures to suit them Who works out the fixture list Oh say no more
  13. I know how much Newcastle speedway meens to you but the track is not good is it very poor shape not always prepaired bad but its certainly not always good and not the best for entertainment is a understatement
  14. 3rd bend again at Newcastle how many riders have been injured on that bend over the years
  15. yeah im sure there was a dead heat for Workington a good few years ago im sure jacko will know
  16. the thing is the fixture list was setup and agreed pre season how they can change it now it could only be a speedway thing but the biggest kick in the teeth over this is we were told to keep a eye on social media as fixtures could change at short notice theres more than me that refuse to go down the facebook route so we rely on third hand info its pretty obvious the people making the rules in this country should have nothing to do with it as they are too biased and change the goal posts all the time somethings not going there way
  17. so apparently the bspa are not happy that our season has been poor so far due to the fixture list we were told last night Workington and other clubs have been asked or told to try and rearrange some fixtures dispite 1 or 2 clubs been already offered dates to reschedule which they have turned down looks like Workington gonna struggle again to fit in fixtures I wonder if some of the fixtures the bspa want rearranged don't suit certain teams and they want a date that does suit them when Workington have riders missing now come on bspa and all other teams start to play fair whats wrong are you now scared Workington are a force to be reconed with as apposed to the team that most wrote off and slagged off as no hopers pre season
  18. when we got wrote off pre season I said if the team clicked and they all rode to there ability we would upset a few
  19. maybe the dust blocked our view but there was a few around us all thought it was ritchie
  20. think its fairly accurate there was hard moves from bot teams also id say Glasgow rode better later on when the score started pulling away better racing but than the heat results sugested
  21. only thing id change to that was we actually though ty got wrong rider we thought it was worrel that almost fenced ty and which way Ritchie went up and pulled vising away suggests he might have known that also Ritchie was limping after ht 15 maybe they got closer than we thought
  22. think riders from both teams worked hard tonight all riders looked like they wanted to race and win even making the track as dusty as Glasgow has been reported to be recently couldn't help them win all joking aside some proper racing tonight few riders getting upset with others after hard moves which most were hard but fair looking at some of the Glasgow riders reactions after races id say there under a bit of pressure from promotion to start performing
  23. thanks for that screm riders like dan need support not like on the Workington thread when some are using his success in this event to have a pop at the current mess british speedway is in
  24. as I said don't try to use success against the club who are struggling to survive use the negatives by all means they only have them selves to blame for the mistakes they have and are making but the good things use to try get more interested and hopefully move on
