  1. can anyone give a true and accurate description of track was it just badly prepaired or was there something else explains why newcastle got a draw mind if the track was bad there use to riding such a track
  2. workington were given a start time so not there fault that they didnt get ready untill close to the start time double headers dont work draged out too long and wonder what would have been said if workington were ready to go and asked to start 5 mins after the first meeting finished
  3. i hope so at least we can use a guest even if that guest dosnt score it will stop most of us paying fans the heartache of seeing someone waring a comets bib thats such a embarssment as that
  4. nice to see 5 off the workington team +1 guest looking more like racers tonight than the last few weeks some good racing tonight from both teams riders from both teams coming from the back to win races this is more like a speedway meeting than what weve been getting as for the 6th member of the comets team well all i can say is i hope he never gets a ride anywhere ever agin after going public saying he is keeping his average down for next year and making it obvious hes not interested while out on track no one should ever employ him again
  5. 13 heats and a full 2nd half would give you more racing so better value for money and reduced costs
  6. ask the away teams that are due at workington they will know before the home fans of workington
  7. proctor has incressed his average even though he has a few e/f's and is a little inconsistant id have him back matt hasnt looked anywhere near what he can do for the last 2 months or so not sure whats gone wrong with him cook probably is too good for a 2nd level league but the 1st level is a piss poor watered down league that isnt as competative as the 2nd with him almost certain to be a gp rider next year id think hell be looking to drop the best league in british speedway sergant well i wouldnt have signed him in the first place and id never have him back even as a guest when you compare him to the likes of tero arnio who will have been a similar average at the time it should have been a no brainer james sergant is a embarasment as for the senario with the no7 well where do you start campton is the real mystery on full form he can beat anyone as a whole package well i suppose id have to say hes probably too much of a gamble and even when out front comftorbal he can suddenly just move over on a different line and let riders pass who wernt even that close and his ht8 1st bend falls when he misses the gate well its almost as comon as james start jumping
  8. i know jenga well he wont duck out of meeting anyone hes not that type of person unless your the taxman or his ex mrs
  9. Sunday's are either afternoon or 7.30. Need to start later due to church near by.
  10. cookie can only get 15/18 points its the other riders we need to turn up and ride to there potential
  11. i see your point but have you also considored i.o.w built the team as best they could with the money they had
  12. but also you could argue if its a develpoment league then no riders riding in the top league should be classed as eligable to ride in a development league and vice versa any riders riding in the development league should not be classed as experienced enough for the top league
  13. shuttleworth should be serving a ban from witholding services from workington
  14. dont think this is the place but lets just say not the first tale of similar nature from tunners
  15. i was talking to someone tonight and if the tale was correct it would explain why he had a poor run of "form" and changed tunner if the story was correct then no wonder so many switch tunner at the same time
  16. not all the worky fans are hostile try standing on the back straight or the bends youll find they can be friendly but nice someone does notice workington is a good track to watch speedway
  17. slightly different with chris holder as he didnt have a team after being dropped right on deadline for signing riders
  18. it is now law that employers allow parrents both mam and dad paid leave when there child is born now it maybe law to give paid leave but as speedweay riders are classed as self employed that will mean the club must allow the time off but it wont have to pay them like most of us would get paid when our kids are born suerly rathbornes cash insentive is breaking some sort of sporting code never mind the bspa rules regarding missing riders we all know that speedway in this country is strugling to survive and clubs need every penny they can get but allowing 1 off your top riders to miss a run of home meetings for a cash payment in most sports would be classed as match tampering/fixing i agree with the rest of your post the club are more guilty than holder but your out of order listing stevie worrall as a example
  19. 10 am just had 1 hell of a shower a few miles from track hope fully we wont get too many more if we want to see some speedway
  20. has holder paid his fine yet think in the past riders wh didnt pay there fine till later on found that the ban started after they paid there fine few years ago but think it might have been rodger lobb that im thinking of
  21. fully agree with all you say here i have respect for poole for how big they are in the sport and what matt ford puts into the club but then as you say the skullduggery just wipes all that out
  22. not much in speedway makes sense thease days but coment was a bit tounge in cheek as the mighty poole could never be that bad but all other speedway fans have noticeds the rule bending they have got away with over the years
  23. needs to be a few more than the 1 to 7 that needs to up there game at workington theres many reasons why a team is not riding to there potential
