  1. entertainment is the reason we all should go to speedway not just to see our own team win regardless good post abbott
  2. not just wells wells is better at prem level than howarth at the moment and morris scoring good points for wolverhampton i know morris has 2 heats that are efectivly national league level but he can score in other heats too bit unfair listing morris as hes only a prem reserve and is scoring ruffly his average and in my book if a reserve does score his average and a bit more now and then there not doing too bad a job aslong as the rest of the team are scoring ok theres photo evidence of lawson about a foot or more over the white line on the 2nd bend but hey we won that night and the ref didnt penalise lawson for it lawson in his prime around derwent park was never as good as stoney james wright or simon stead at there best and thats no disrespect to richard just pure fact
  3. have you been to workington this season we dont look as good on track as we do on paper but the lads are all scoring well when riding in that other league thats supposed to be far stronger if they all get there finger out then we should be strong title contendors but from the meetings weve had so far we need to improve
  4. this is a problem through out speedway not just clubs like glasgow far too often any investment is direct from the sponsers or supporters speedway is geeting to expensive for to atract new supportors and some die hards just cant afford to keep going prem league speedway should be around £10 a meeting if it wants to atract new fans just how people can pay £17 a meeting to watch at belle vue i dont know i fully understand that people need paid and i also understand most speedway riders dont earn enough from speedway alone to repair and improve there equipment
  5. in all fainess i think claus was slowing and maybe developing the engine trouble which cost him later on when he clashed with morris that was the 3rd attempt of that heat 1st attempt claus and rene clipped going in to 1st bend then in 2nd rene fell then 3rd morris was all over claus after catching him they clipped and morris bounced off fence and went on centre green how he never hit anyone was a miricle defenatly deserves praise for how he avoided all the centre green staff
  6. watching the racing rather than doing there job and feeping a eye on the lights ?
  7. few miles from track and sky is starting to get a colour thats not nice for speedway and also a few drops starting to fall from the sky looks brighter towards derwent park though
  8. so did most of the stadium from the 2nd bend it looked like campton got it by half a wheel but angles are deciving and campton himself along with the grandstand spectators thought so too and the same when sam masters and cookie were team riding ht 13 was it sam slowed to let cookie take the win after he let him past early on and watched his back but the ref gave the win to sam masters lets face it the score line dosnt do edinbrugh justice they wer far better tonight than a 7pt victory we were never at the races too be honest
  9. morris at times looks like hes about to make a step up but instead of making that next step drops back a little which as a spectator is frustrating reserves cant be kept year after year if they dont improve not looking to drop ash but he must start to be more regular in the points even if hes not moving out of reserve berth he was more on the pace as the meeting went on at workington its just a pitty the workington riders were not
  10. or maybe a trip to the track doctor for some pain relief
  11. pritty fair and acurate post anders thomsen got better every race and was right on the pace towards the end kevin wolbert wasnt very impresive mind maybe a bit too much traveling from poland the day before
  12. any info on last weeks rain off is there a reduction with last weeks ticket
  13. being a nice person dosnt mean your good at what you do
  14. both james and charles wright were very good riders who should have went further than they did james did reach a high prem level and did ok in the elite at times but obviously lost something which a few riders do at some point was it lost interest or confidence/ability due to 1 too many knocks we may never know but 1 thing for sure is he was once a good rider and dosnt deserve some of the coments earlier in this thread he was poor when he last rode for workington and a real disapointment but i remember him starting at reserve and was a match winner all the way up to gaining the number 1 spot
  15. didnt see anything too impresive at press and practice air fense looks good and takes less track space than i expected hopefully next saturday will see the riders really getting to grips with racing rather than just bedding gear in
  16. how many returns has he made ? cant remember him taking time out before and once upon a time james wright was a good rider but i agree in his last season or 2 he was poor most of the time
  17. taylor pooles signing was classed by sheffield statement as subject to visa so i would take it from that he has not yet got 1
  18. they allready have they have said they cant make certain anouncements before certain paperwork is in place they are expecting to make thease anouncements this week
  19. paperwork needs to be in place before they can say theyve signed
  20. if steve worrall can find a little form and confidence im sure he can double his current 3 point average
  21. i agree its a better option for the parent club to have priority over any who have the rider on loan regardless of what league they run in
  22. sunday afternnon works for some but not others who still do the family sunday lunch get together me personaly theres something abount speedway under floodlights it just works better than in the bright sumer nights
  23. no sweedish riders then just like when isle of wight were in prem league any team with sweedish riders had to use national league rider as guest in there place
  24. yes the powers that be should explain but obviosly this is speedway so they wont both somerset and the bspa should release statements giving there side of the argument the problem in speedway is the rules from time to time differ depending on who is trying to do what at what ever time of season
