  1. cant see it happening but if all rode like they can cracking team dont think josh will be back but stranger things happen everyday in speedway and i also agree all them riders can improve there average if things click
  2. for me almost all the riders listed cant ride to there potential week in week out they have too many poor weeks for the whole team to perform to the standard needed to win trophys on there day all the riders are good enough but just how often would they all ride to taht level at the same time
  3. some riders i would have but must agree it dosnt look a trophy winning team
  4. but other teams havnt got away with what somerset got away with and they almost got away with even more until other teams voiced there opinion but still somerset got a reduction on what the rider should have come in on rules are rules but some teams are allowed to fiddle the rules
  5. lets just wait and see but it came from a someone in the cook camp lets just leave it at that not sure how serious the talks were but 2015 was discussed
  6. wont be many workington fans happy with kev super guest doolan in the team can always score double figures riding against workington but lucky to get above 5 riding for them just like ross brady back in his day
  7. most people i know just cant afford £100 a month for liesure activitys and the current cost of speedway for me is very close to my limits im allready noticing the extra cash and the season has only been over a month not everyone has a well paid job that gives them plenty of spare cash im not on a good wage but i am on more than minimum wage(so higher paid than a lot of people now a days) im single but have my son living with me who is at collage with no income at all and believe me its not easy paying the bills and having enough to pay for speedway aswell
  8. not from what i was hearing towards end of season unless hes got full time polish club i know hes been talking to at least 1 british prem league club i agree the 45 point limit worked very well and also the amount of good enough riders around to fill the teams up
  9. what makes you so sure cookie will be ridding for a scotish team
  10. after reading the press release from berwick looking for sponsership yhey claim to be the lowest priced track for the prem league just out of interest just how much do each club charge as workington is my local ill start off adult admission at workington £14 when we had the double headers it was £23 i think and you get free race card for that price be interesting to see if there is much difference
  11. wouldnt surprise me if chriss mills hung up his leathers after his crash at workington this season
  12. personaly i would welcome the 2 minute clock as its not policed fairly some refs will kick a rider out when we feel hes still got time left and some others allow 2 minutes after the 30 second warning has been given and there is riders who do push there luck on the 2 minute rule
  13. i think something should be in place that a rider cant come in on a ass7 then drop to reserve and start scoring double figure scores maybe only drop as low as 5 for there first season unless of coarse its somerset as 7pt riders start on ass 5 for some strange reason
  14. at least 1 of your list moving if the rumours ive heard are correct and hasnt jack holder gone to scunthorpe?
  15. when doubling up was started it was fine as the elite was a lot stronger and prem leagues top riders were going up as reserves which was a taster for them to see if they could make the move next season strong enough to do the job the british elite league now is a very poor product prem league riders who score 3 or 4 points can get regular double figures in the eliete league that says it all
  16. more than stonney had a run in with anders the shoovel incident was actually on question of sport's what happens next a few years ago if im not wrong
  17. dont know about showers in the afternoon but think the overnight rain could finish it off track not looking good now never mind after more rain
  18. i think you will find it was the riders who wanted it called off the ref pointed out to them they had allready been at track for 2 hours and inspected the track and didnt ask for it to be called off the ref agreed to call it off but voiced his opinion about the riders delay in wanting a call off
  19. shows just how little you know the track base at workington drains away too much during the dry periods allready thats why even after watering the track drys out during a meeting the problem last night was the fact that during 2 days in the week we had more rain than we had in over a month previous resulting in flooded areas which untill the flooded areas drain away then all the other water trapped in the surounding ground starts to drain away amd also as you were not there maybe keep your opinions less public there were plenty there and i was one of them the blame looks to stand more with berwick than anyone at workington speedway and thats everyone riders track staff and certanly the promotion
  20. they couldnt due to planning restrictions on a sunday as there is a church not far away and 7.30 is the earliest night time start they could have tested in afternoon before 4.30 had very heavy rain during the week so not sure if its all down to that or the put more water on today and found the base allready holding water
  21. you may have a point there the promotion have not done too much wrong but everything seems to bite them hard
  22. some good points there and at the early part of the season i would agree with you about josh but im not so sure about the second part josh dosnt look as keen when riding derwent park rene for me has been big dispointment very rare have i seen him try to team ride always has a go at the lower riders when they finish ahead not a team player in my eyes and as for jengas post well you never know if its his sarcastic humour or his actuall thoughts up untill a few weeks ago i never rated wells atall but hes been 1 of the best riders for workington in some of the last meetings proberbly since being dropped from elite league which is also why i think josh aint as bothered if riders want to save them selves for the snobs league then dont ride prem league we all know the elite league is now the easy option compared to the competative prem league
  23. yes theres some teams and riders your not allowed to say negative things about and when you try and make positive posts about others they get deleated aswell its typical speedway forum mods are just like the bspa look after your own at all costs
