With the SON failing to attract a decent crowd and Poland’s league crowds visibly down (with the exemption of Częstochowa last week) are people feeling the world financial pinch ? People picking a choosing their entertainment? Be interesting to see if cardiff crowd stands up, personally I’ve always felt a bit ripped off by some of the ticket prices at Cardiff but we will see

If there was a pot of gold in the person trying to open a track, then land would appear everywhere, no matter what objections or how many houses or whatever is around it, it would happen I’ve seen this first hand on more than a few occasions now, however as it is at the moment nobody who has the pot of gold is stupid enough to blow it on our sport, on the other hand there are a few willing people who want to open a track but don’t have the finances and a few land owners who would have it but as soon as the land owners find out there is no pot of gold it becomes a no go, as with life in general it’s about money and speedway doesn’t have any

While it’s a given that advantages are sort by all riders of all nations, over sized engines especially in Poland isn’t one of them and especially at FIM level, another reason is a tuner like kowalski or gravesen ain’t going to risk his business by cheating in a school boy way and then even if they were stupid enough to do that and over sized engine doesn’t automatically mean a faster bike in speedway

For those paying attention speedway along with other sports is heading for the toughest period ever and it’s going to be bad, really bad and it’s not if it’s own making but I just feel speedway will just try to carry on like everything is normal and then when it hits the wall the Bspl will blame everyone but themselves, the sport is reactive,it should be proactive, reactive this time may be fatal, saying all that it’s not my money at stake -

Tonight wolves were at home to Kings Lynn, I live 2 miles from the track, I had nothing else to do, I was brought up a wolves fan, while I think it’s too expensive in general money is not an issue for me, I am speedways greatest fan, always have been and yet I didn’t want to go tonight,It just didn’t grab my attention enough to attend, I watched it on tv but that didn’t really stop me going either and I missed the first 3 heats as I was watching something else, it’s just not grabbing me, I can’t affiliate with a team of mercenaries who parade as my team, there is no point in having a league with teams that are filled with riders that ride for someone else, I know I am sounding like a broken record but if the sport can’t grab someone like me what chance does it have for a new audience, when I watch British speedway now I feel like I’m watching something else, on track speedway is full of bad annoying habits like starting offences, gardening, adjusting chains etc after a restart, it’s not needed it’s habit and annoying habit at that,- 180 replies

Wolves v Kings Lynn 25/7/22

I’ve been both a rider and a mechanic and it’s time to ban the mechanics from the track after an unsatisfactory start, it’s annoying and unnecessary , straight back to the start
