  1. Breaks my heart that the sport can be so good but just not reaching the general public
  2. To be fair both the pawlicki’s were great value for money over the weekend and they were really good meetings too infront of really good noisey crowds on really well prepared tracks but I’m sure there is a point to your post somewhere
  3. I don’t consider the line up poor, it’s a representation of the current level of British speedway, the problem is he pond of riders is so small that if you have a bike, a licence and can string 4 laps together you have a good chance of being in it,,the further the decade you go back the bigger the pond the less chance of being in the BF
  4. As mad as that sounds a share of some events would of generated money that could of kept tracks like Buxton alive but there is no collective thinking when it comes to British speedway and just as a side note I consider it a stain on British speedway that Buxton was allowed to close
  5. Only problem I see holding it over multiple rounds is I don’t think the fans would support it enough to make it viable which is a shame, as strange as this may sound, we should do what Poland does and stage it at lower league tracks, I see someone mentioned iwade, ridiculous yes but crowd wise I can’t see why that it couldnt pull in well over 1500 folks, there still is a big fan base in Kent/essex/sussex so why not ? But maybe not lol
  6. I just don’t understand the riders attitude like Lawson of not wanting to ride, firstly it’s the British championship, then you have the carrot of a GP outing of which 95% of riders will never get that opportunity again and they may not think it or even care but they are contributing to the downfall of speedway in this country, I would of jumped at the chance to ride even if that chance was no chance of getting anywhere, I honestly believe some of the modern riders are just oblivious to the privilege of earning a living from something they are supposed to love doing and are showing absolute disrespect and contempt to the fans of our great sport
  7. Częstochowa riders seem to be giving drabik a really hard time, I know he used to ride for them but is there bad blood towards him?
  8. Pedersen nearly getting his arse handed to him by a reserve was only going to end one way by someone in the pits getting blamed
  9. I don’t understand rybnik’s decision to leave Chris holder out of the squad for today, yes not riding that well but not like they are spoilt with superstar replacements
  10. If discovery carry on with the trajectory they are on the British GP will be held at Buxton in 2027
  11. We drove to Germany, stayed in a village 8 miles away from track in moosburg, as there was no parking at the stadium we caught the train into landshut and then got the bus to the stadium, everything went smoothly, after the meeting we joined the other fans waiting for the bus back to landshut, when it turned up only about half the fans could get on so we decided to book an uber back to hotel, we booked and paid for it and it said it will be there in 25 mins, the next bus came and nearly all got on, after 30 mins we got a message saying our Uber had been cancelled and we were refunded the money, at that point it bucketed it down, we waited under a shelter with 3 belle vue fans and a German lad, the police came and said there is no more buses, they told us to wait there and they went and diverted a bus just for the 5 of us and took us to landshut where we found out the train to our hotel had been cancelled, we had to find a bus going our way which eventually we did, we got into our hotel around 1pm, all part of the fun but for the want of a car park
  12. Yes they do but even tonight zagar’s rides were adequately covered by paco, was an improved performance from Edward’s, Rew started amazing but went missing in his last 2, only really jeppersen and Hume struggled but overall results don’t lie they are not good enough, changes ? Who ? Anyway next week tolley has some big news he has to tell us and I don’t think it going to be a miracle signing
  13. Really disappointed with huckenbeck last night, thought being home rider he would be in the mix, Kvech was Kvech but i agree laguta and sayfutinow should be there but who let the FIM do there virtue signaling?
  14. I agree, laguta is a brilliant rider and very fast but I’ve seen laguta when the track doesn’t suit him, you don’t see that in zmarzlik, there is plenty of riders who beat zmarzlik but those riders then go missing in the next round, even on his bad days zmarzlik never goes missing
  15. We paid £45 for tickets last night and there were plenty of touts outside the stadium offering them for around £25 which I feel is value
  16. I will never not be a fan of zmarzlik, his attitude to winning is matched by his talent and imo is by far the greatest rider the sport has ever had, his pass on Thompson tonight was just pure class, started a lap before by showing Thompsen his front wheel up the inside making Thompsen change his line leaving zmarzlik to go where he needs to get the speed to pass him ,irrespective of how good the opposition is or isn’t, it is arguably harder to beat anyone nowadays because all 16 riders have pretty much identical engines obviously with their own set ups which wasn’t the case back in the 60s 70’s 80s or any decade you care to mention, when the few had far superior engines to the rest of the field, speedway has had some greats over the years but imo none had the complete package like zmarzlik
