If Chris has done what he usually did at Coventry at the beginning of the season and changed his equipment from the previous year he will be okay around June/July time when he's got everything sorted out and by the end of the season he will be flying. Could never understand this as the bikes would be wrapped in cotton wool over the Winter if they were mine, but hey ho there must be a reason.

Car park only holds around 235 vehicles so unless you intend getting there early it's perhaps best to park in the Beaumont Leys Shopping Centre one where you are allowed to stay for four hours. It's not so much of a problem for NL matches though and there will probably be enough room, but it seems with the famous Heathens in town the attendance will be higher than the last two meetings. You then have a little walk to the stadium.........or a long one in my case because I'm not fit.

I like Lapade. That's going to be my new favourite word from now on.
-
Blimey you're fortunate if that happens. At Leicester the riders are introduced riding round the track so if it's not a parade and it's not practice laps I don't know what to call it.

It's quite clear really as it was your own post in the first place. I think you need to read things through carefully before jumping in and stop calling people a troll when they are posting quite sensibly. It's a forum for discussion so they can comment on any thread they like.

Premiership 23/04/18 - Leicester v Swindon

Unfortunately I've got to agree with you and I don't think my husband will be going again but just sticking with the Coventry Sunday matches. I'm also finding it a real struggle to get from the shopping centre car park to the stadium so hope the racing gets better to keep my enthusiasm going. -

And you are way out with this one too. Hard to choose who to put in heat 15 for the Lions. Obviously Hans Andersen but paired with who? Can never rely on Danny King, Kenneth Bjerre's scores went down through the match 3-2-1-0 so looked a dodgy choice, Kyle Newman had ridden well after his first heat but I would probably have gone for the Pole who had won two heats. Seemed strange to choose gates 2 and 4 as well but I'm sure it was the riders choice so they should know. Anyway all went wrong in the end after Lions were leading by 10 points after six heats. Well done Swindon. -
I don't like the sound of that.

Lucy is available if he really has to have one. Keen Bees fans for all of her 8 years but won't have much input as she's usually asleep.

Peterborough v Redcar C Sunday 15th April

I think Chris was moaning about the long drive to Scotland for a rained off match and thinks it should have been called off earlier. -

Ah thanks. I was just going to ask how on earth Margaret Vardy could be in two places at once because she was referee at the Leicester v Eastbourne match at 3pm. So whatever happened in heat 15 it definitely wasn't her fault. -
I thought he did so thanks for the confirmation. Edwards took his place in heat 11 and the updates site had it wrong when I checked as they had Dugard riding, hence me being unsure whether I'd marked my programme correctly. True and after getting soaked the week before a lot wouldn't fancy the same again being as rain was forecast.

I think Mick said he needed 350 to break even and I wouldn't say they are a long way short of that, although there weren't so many there this week. The problem has been the dodgy weather forecasts, bearing in mind the majority of fans will have to travel. It rained last Sunday all the way through the match and rain was forecast again today, which happened half way through. I am sure that once the weather gets better the crowd will increase. Good question! Seems strange, although he did actually take Dugards ride in heat 11 (according to my programme anyway but perhaps I'm wrong) and came last so perhaps that's why he wasn't used for Brooks in heat 12.
-
I'd guess a little bit less. Well you and Tina Widman weren't able to be there for a start. Another dodgy weather forecast didn't help and although it didn't rain during the early heats it did later on. Great win for the Bees though and perhaps one Sunday we will be able to sit in the sunshine.

Only cloudy so far no rain. Hopefully it will stay that way. Update weather dry and track dry..Score Bees 12 Eagles 12

Leicester v Poole SGB Premiership A. 9/4/18
Gemini replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I hope there isn't going to be any resentment from some fans about Coventry using the track. I support both teams so am glad I don't have so far to travel now as driving gets more painful. -

Nothing is the answer. If you live in Leicester you will know that it started raining at 12.30pm and hasn't stopped since so it was a good decision to call this off early. The fact there was racing on the circuit yesterday makes no difference to the amount of rain that's fallen. It would still be soaking wet if the track had stood empty all day and you can't prepare it when it's chucking it down with rain. -

Yes it was going. Just turn up, there aren't usually many waiting.......if any. -

I don't think you will have to worry about the PL matches finishing that quick! It rained all the way through so the sensible thing to do was get a move on if the match was to be completed. Well done to all involved. If it had been a PL match we would have been waiting around in the rain to see if the riders were going to come out for the next race ~ an hour's delay to see if the rain would ease off ~ then home soaking wet after seeing 10 heats .........if we're lucky. -

About 350 I would guess, which considering the weather (rained all the way through) is pretty good and it will only get better once the sun starts shining and word gets around about how good the racing is. Really enjoyed it and all credit to the lads who got stuck in despite the rain and tricky track to produce some great racing which was on a par to any PL match I've been to. -

Rained all the way through this afternoon's NL match so the track was very tricky. Really don't need any more rain tonight or tomorrow if the meeting is to go ahead. Hopefully the forecast is wrong.
