I can't help thinking as most holiday makers are only there for a week the family wouldn't be back for the next meeting anyway so they have had a nice free evening out. Good idea for other tracks though.
-
It did say accepted 'subject to confirmation' though so not exactly fully accepted. There's still time for it to be turned down.
-
Shouldn't think it will be Neil as it says he has left Coventry Bees, also Peterborough ride a lot of meetings on Sundays which is the day chosen for NL matches at Leicester.
-
Yes it does. Neil won't be involved with Coventry now so Mick Horton will be left with the sinking ship on his own......if he's daft enough to still go ahead.
-
Now I can't stand Rap and I think I've even got it as a dislike on my forum notes.........but I actually watched a group on the X Factor this year and really liked their songs. Can't remember what they are called ~ sounded a bit like some Chinese dish ~ but they won so I can't have been alone in thinking they were okay.
-
Is it 'Unread Content' at the top of the page? Sorry if I'm wrong but I've never bothered using it.
-
Love that. We could have riders wizzing around the centre green/track ~ preferrably with no main lights on, just spot lights, but obviously the staff wouldn't be out there yet, with some wicked music playing.
-
Of course they should make money. All Speedway riders should because they ride for our entertainment you know so deserve to be well paid.
-
I like the sound of that league because it doesn't include Coventry riding at Leicester. I might be alone in thinking this but I'd much rather keep the happy memories I have of the Bees, especially in the Sandhu years and prior to that with Charles Ochiltree, than see a disasterous outcome in the National League at Beaumont Park.
-
I presume you've not been to Peterborough then? Love the music they play there and it's certainly not quiet, low tempo or easy listening.
-
Looks like yet another disrupted season during the main Summer months. Wouldn't it be nice if we could be looking forward to 2018 with renewed optimism it's going to be a good year but as each one passes I get more disillusioned and expect the usual rush to complete fixtures in the cold wet month of October......or perhaps I'm getting too pessimistic in my old age.
-
Well, I'm glad it's only one as it's not fair for a team to build up a lead only to keep having it reduced. I'd prefer none at all but at least we've at last got rid of the double point thingy.
-
To be honest I'm not often following anyone as I drive so fast I'm usually leading the way. I always obey the 30/40/50mph limits though.
-
Love that. I'm going to try it next time I'm on the way to Peterborough where there is a 50mph speed camera on the A47 at the top of the hill, just after everyone has gone mad to overtake slower traffic on the 'Crawler Lane' dual carriageway.

Presenters And Announcers

I just love everything about Peterborough and that includes the loud music and the announcer. Sorry. -
True and I'm not saying I agree with the decision but I'd like to bet Nick Morris is cheaper than Jason Doyle, especially now he is World Champion.

Peter York used to be really annoying doing this at Coventry but I think the management stopped him eventually thank goodness. Who is the announcer at Peterborough? I like him, also David Hammond at Brandon. I'm just amazed that you have been to every single track to be able to state that. -
I'm not interested in statistics as they're much too confusing for me so I don't comment about them on here, but I do know if I'm anywhere near False dawn at a Speedway meeting he will know exactly which gate positions have been the best all night. It's just easier to ask him than try to understand things myself.
-
I must have felt differently years ago because I used to go to the Laurels and Internationale at Wimbledon, the BLRC at Hyde Road Belle Vue, Brandonapolis at Coventry and Golden Gauntlets at Leicester etc., but they just don't interest me any more as I much prefer team racing these days.
-
Well, Swindon have probably reduced their costs for a start by not signing Jason Doyle.
-
Unfortunately not by me. Surely I'm not the only one who isn't really interested in Individual Meetings?
-
Gone up a bit now. 59 ~ Yes...........246 ~ No. At 01.38 am.
-
If it's that easy why didn't the Storm finish their matches last year when Mick Horton was in charge?
-
Starman won't get that. Even Steve Shovlar is confused....or pretending to be confused so what chance Starman.
-
I think it does.
