Just an observation, but It's strange how weak teams, Redcar, Scunny, ect all seem to have fair track with no home track advantage, were as strong teams like Somerset have a home track advantage!!

I don't understand why the Buxton team manager should be held responsible for this, surely Carr should be responsible for coming out on a bike with no chain guard, this is a safety item, therefore the bike could be deemed unsafe. You can't ignore rules just because it's NL and not EL.

I feel strangely optimistic about this match, I think the bears could edge it.

Surely this will seriously affect attendance capacity numbers for the 4's week end?

Heat 1 Osergaad took Bjerre down, should have been all 4 back, Bjerre excluded, heat 15 Otergaad takes Bjerre out, ref excluded Kus twice?? (put the white light on, then took it off and then put it back on), then decided it was Bjerre to be excluded, I'm not one for knocking refs, but how much notice was she taking if she can exclude Kus, then decide to exclude Bjerre, for me she was a total homer ref!!

How could Konopka have avoided the crash??Konopka didn't move off his line Bates had his arm on Konpkas shoulder, and quite clearly pushed him down, this was both stupid and dangerous!! I can understand Jack Lee defending his rider when being interviewed, but I hope he had a quite word with him, he has lots of potential, but is reckless at times.

To be honest I didn't know much about Ben Morley. but reading some of the comments, I'm looking forward to seeing him round the STMP, it should suit him, might be a better season Than I hoped!!!

Surely, the owning club should be asked first if the rider is available for loan, before agreeing terms with the rider. It's the owning clubs prerogative to use one of their own assets. In this case I think Mr Havvy is getting some unfair flack. Also, the rider can refuse to sign if he wants to ride for another club. Even though Havvy said the only way Matty could leave would be on a full transfer, if push came to shove money from a loan deal is better than no money at all!

Must say, I don't think signing Matty was a gamble. Many Redcar fans wanted him to stay. With the problems Matty had from before last season started, problems with the track at Redcar, Matty lost all of his confidence and had a poor season, because of that, he was always going to end up at reserve this season. When Matty has confidence there's few better to watch. As a Bears fan, I was disappointed with the result on Saturday, but delighted by Matty's performance.

In the inter-league challenge match, Coventry v Middlesbrough, 3 riders had been excluded from a race, leaving Rick Miller the only rider left. He proceeded to entertain the crowd pulling 'wheelies' the ref excluded him for not making a bonified attempt to race!!

Looks like Liam could be out for a while, hope he can make a full and complete recovery.

Not sure I understand the logic behind excluding either both Berwick riders or both Redcar riders? Surly it depends on which rider was guilty! From where I was standing on the entry to the first bend, ref got the Konopka decision wrong and the Jensen one correct!

Bears were out gated, out fought and out ridden, some hard 1st bends which Berwick won! Berwick fully deserved their win. Edberg was lucky to not be excluded in heat 2, clearly hit Konopka, but would have had little effect on the final result.
