  1. Dont disagree. Most recently I can think of Kasprzak and Zagar coming through the qualifiers and were woeful.
  2. There comes a time when at almost 35, having not been a GP rider for 4 seasons and having required a wild card that final year, you accept you are not at that standard anymore and as a former World Champion make a dignified exit from Grand Prix's for good. Time to let the new generation have their chance.
  3. The only downside to last night was Chris Holder being announced as the replacement for Vaclav Milik in the GP Qualifier in a couple of weeks. #FFS
  4. A really decent meeting you would never work out from the scoreline. Basso was just superb but where was tonights Sedgmen last season. Fast, aggressive, making passes and riding intelligently to run wide in 15 to block Basso. We waited patiently all season for that to show up and got let down.
  5. Until the B test has been confirmed you cannot presume guilt.
  6. A season away from Glasgow would do Connor good IMO. Learning a new track and not having the luxury of being carried at times in a strong team could be the push he needs. I still think he needed NL racing somewhere this year despite the lack of meetings, being Belle Vue No8 has proven meaningless.
  7. Equally Knudsen could sign for someone else next season if not enough meetings are completed. #Bellego
  8. As would Castagna not turning up for his first 3 rides.
  9. Unfortunately its the way it has been for many years though would doubt Castagna or Fredrickson could pull this and keep their team place.
  10. A racers track with a bit of dirt up high. Thought it looked perfect for Bomber to run riot but he was very off colour last night.
  11. Thought Berwick would do something tonight but def not to be. Harris looked to be having bike issues, Pijper spun out and Flint was impeded by his team mate before coming down hard. Knudsen looks a good find but FFS MacGregor, ht14 is the kind of p1sh he used to pull 15 years ago to get the Grand Monarch title.
  12. Richard had four laps to pass Ostergaard but didnt. Wonder what the issue was?
  13. I agree but continue to do that and we wont beat anyone like this over 2 legs in the play offs. Fairness doesn't get results. Tonight was about gating not racing, I was getting bored watching on TV but Poole got a 12 point win and the fans looked like they were going home happy. Could we pull back 12 points at home if this was a 2 leg affair. No chance IMO, our track is too fair.
  14. Ulle apart it wasnt good but if you didnt gate you were finishing the race in the same place as you left the second bend. Gives you perspective when we naively have a thorough track regrade at ht10 to produce good racing right to the end. What have we learned tonight?
  15. Poor meeting overall, hyper slick track with almost no passing. Had hoped to see better.
  16. Whether BWD can ride effectively is more important than his intention to continue riding. Isnt this the same shoulder injury that was troubling him in 2018 or 2019?
  17. Today should have been the Russian GP which was suspended so it was an opportunity to run a meeting here with some GP riders involved, if they wanted to come.
  18. Brilliant meeting to watch with lots of passing and repassing throughout, and often from the Championship riders. Lambert's hunting of Doyle and getting him on the last lap was superb. The only criticism was the excessive time between races with no grading and no one riding back to back. Rasser will need to smarten up for the GP Qualifier.
  19. Lawson riding a lawnmower. We know from experience when one of the heatleaders in a top heavy team dont perform it goes titties up. Got a feeling they will fix it for Wednesday.
  20. Ht15 didnt make up for an awful meeting to watch.
  21. Indeed, the only time I could describe the M6 as enjoyable!
  22. Glasgow outgated Birmingham for most of the meeting and held their position thereafter. Danyon superb, moved Cook out the way in ht1 for being too slow! Brum not helped by Ashley Morris struggling to stay upright and Vissing r/r yielding just 5 points. Wish them well, a very pleasant arena to watch speedway. £140 in fuel though ! Absolute piss ripping.
  23. Claus is now sitting nicely on an average of 6.73 which makes him hugely employable next year if Brum drop him.
