  1. Good points but the same weaknesses have persisted all season. Nicol looks like he's never ridden Ashfield before.
  2. Poole peaking at the right time, Glasgow absolutely gutless. Time for change in 2023.
  3. You should work for the BBC with that s-h-i-t stirring narrative.
  4. Agree with all that except Fredricksen, wouldn't touch him. Hook might be worth a punt if we thought he could progress though looks like he can't drop below a 4.00. Sarj could be in demand next year if the points limit is driven down. We could have done with Ulle's sharp gating last night just like he did down there in July. Claus Vissing 5.00, Jake Allan 6.30, Dillon Ruml 5.47, Ricky Wells 5.20, only kidding .
  5. Overhauled coming off the second bend. No one could make up ground on the rider in front not even the Poole heatleaders in the two heats Glasgow actually gated.
  6. The gating was great, the racing non existent. When Poole gated the races were strung out. When Glasgow gated the races were strung out. Goodnight Vienna as a contest by ht8.
  7. Looking at 20 pages of this p1sh and more on the Glasgow thread Im not sure its the success people resent so much.
  8. FFS its Poole, they get accommodated above everyone else. Educate yourself and learn your place
  9. Going to be frosty though. Poole Speedway having Poole things done to them, we know thats not how it works.
  10. Our nearest rival team would then become Manchester and 7 would be an uneven amount for a league, not undoable, but would be better with another team joining to make it 8. However whats the benefit for us, with the exception of Doyle, Holder and Fricke we see all the other riders in our league anyway. I've also got issues with propping up the big league, the second division is our natural domain, the BSPL and its predecessor have done little to support it over the years and would happily collapse it if needs must, to protect their precious Division 1.
  11. Looking at the updates for Poole v Leicester last night there was no mention of track grading breaks. Not sure if this was actually the case but with Poole gaining momentum from ht8 onwards it would seem common sense not to change a winning feature. Wonder if Glasgow will do this on Sunday?
  12. Just this year? We could have started our season the first week in June and still accommodate the playoff next weekend. Be interesting to see if the crowd drops off, it'll have been 7 weeks since our last home meeting. Its very easy to lose interest, especially with the nights now becoming darker and colder.
  13. Glad its not just me. The absolute lack of meetings this year and a lacklustre Grand Prix series have made the whole thing go flat. Four home meetings in the last nine weeks when the weather has been at its best is criminal.
  14. Good meeting, good stream, great result. Redcar used the extensive track grade after ht8 to their advantage to turn the meeting back in their favour. Same extensive regrade after ht12 but didnt quite have the same effect. Use everything within your control to maximum effect as the home team. Wonder if anyone from Glasgow noticed? Asking for a friend.
  15. Crump was the biggest moaner known to man on the GP circuit in his era. He was endlessly at Ole Olsen to have tracks ultra slick to suit him and him only, and always had to have the loudest voice. No way would he have ridden that track 15 years ago, he would have lead a rider walkout or tried to. Amazing how he sees himself now with that comment.
  16. But will they be hoodwinked in 2023? The event date is being released on Monday.
  17. Perfectly, chequebook recruitment is best!
  18. What date did Berwick actually apply for the visa is more to the point. They can only trundle out the current visa narrative for so long, its become tiresome. Why not come out and say we are protecting Knudsens average for 2023 and be done with it.
  19. Common sense is no longer common.
  20. They can only try. The racing at Cardiff has been poor for a number of years and the attendance possibly reflects that now. I know Cardiff is all about the atmosphere, pre-race events and the overall weekend however its the racing that interests me, and it needs to be good to justify the cost of going there, which it doesn't IMO. From 10 GP's this year, 4 are in Poland, why can't we have a second one in the UK i.e. Manchester. The SON there last year was superb, its a racers track and I would pay to go possibly along with many other northern based fans. As it is the GP series needs refreshed. Discovery are serious broadcasters and if they want to grow their tv audience they need to have a think about the tracks which can deliver this. Vojens, Malilla and Prague are absolute bore fests and I'm sure their viewer stats will confirm this. Taking GP's away from these tracks may mean you lose the audience in that country so its a difficult call to make however year after year they deliver FTG riding rather than racing. There has to be better out there, hopefully.
  21. Dont disagree. Most recently I can think of Kasprzak and Zagar coming through the qualifiers and were woeful.
