  1. The track is never very good on the inside out to the middle it is down to the chalk base in no time , with ruts and holes appearing and Steve rides out in the dirt where it is smoother, quicker .so his personal line around the track is good and fast. and he is different class anyway...Unfortunatly no one else in the team seems to want to follow Steves excellent example, of the only way to ride the place..
  2. A pretty poor performance even by their standards from the Kings tonight,,( brilliant at this level consistently ,,Steve Boxall is excepted from any critcisum ) ..Benji and Ben had uncharicturistic falls that restricted their scoring but neither were at their best on a very slick track that was cutting up badly where i was working on it ...You could say its the same for everyone ,,and the Fen Tigers got stuck into it,, and with a weakend side were worthy winners,,, ..True, but i do feel most of our lads can actually perform better at other tracks. when i have seen them... One very good ride from Jack Kingston ,,who still throws points away, but an overall more consistent showing from him..Sam Woods chipped in with a couple of usefull 2nd places.... Adam and Conner both had nights to forget ,,and i feel when the averages come in shortly ,and if we have points to play with at least one change will be made ,,but its any ones guess where the axe might fall The next new few meetings it will be important for most of these lads to up their game.. For the Tigers Jon Armstrong was outstanding climaxing with a victory over Steve in heat 15 ..And young Josh Bates has a lot of style and dash about him that says to me he has the makings of a very good rider in the future...
  3. Well those changes certainly make a difference Nielsen is the stand out rider for the fen tigers lets hope the 4 taking his rides are not all firing..I feel with the new averages coming in shortly there may be future changes to the team if the total points have fallen..Good luck to all the riders today and lets hope its a good match ,,front of another decent turnout ...
  4. If you mean the distance from the inside line out to the air fence at Arena id agree ,,but the bike needs to turn hard to get round the corner s as these bends are very tight due to the distance across the center green being one of the shortest in british speedway.. and hard turns mean slower speed..Where as the distance across the center green at Sittingbourne is greater making longer and faster turns..
  5. AJ is King,,,,,,Averages have always been a bit o a joke in this league and anomalies are thrown up every year..And it is to far into the season before they change.. With the trophy comp,,the stand alones change later than the other teams ..A lot of things need changing but with Mr Morrish in charge it wont,,,and i assume he still is ,,you, never hear, or see of him, unless theres trophys to be presented ,,then he turns up like the proverbial bad penny..It is these ridiculous averages that mean the Kent Kings could go through half the season before they win a match...
  6. Thanks Neil That now seems to be confirmed ,Do existing averages have any effect on that,,, ie rolling for example ??
  7. I believe new averages come in after 4 league matches,, As Parsloes says ,,regardless of how many home or away..I understand national trophy meetings dont count for averages .This is what i have been told by a reliabl e sorce ,,if im wrong i am ready to be corrected.....
  8. I agree having an 11.38 rider will never work Good as Steve is,, .,creates a ridiculously weak bottom half of the team ( Adam Kirby excepted ),,and the best 3 pointers were all snapped up before the side was put together..Now we are in a difficult situation..
  9. I do not think any of the Raiders monday squad will be riding for Kent any time soon ,the good ones already have clubs , the rest would be no improvement on what we have now There is a real problem with strengthening the lack of suitable riders and the points we have to play with..
  10. Good to hear the weather forcast has improved ..Have good meeting....
  11. The weather indeed looks iffy ,,one thing,s for certain miles of pesky road works on the M1,,In ,the rush hour too ,,enough to put me off im afraid... Good luck to all the lads and come home safe......
  12. I have a feeling the promotion will take a look at several unatached riders now to find out who might fit the bill best ..While there may be little difference in ability one may be better suited to ride at Sittingbourne .., The options are still very limited however... I would go for Liam Carr if he is available and has not signed for any one yet
  13. A good close encounter in front of a decent size crowd The new change in the team was no improvement though to be fare Mark Baldock has had little riding before coming in The last race pass going into the third bend by Charles Wright on Steve boxall could be said to have cost us the match, but the bottom end of the team is still way to weak and that was the real reason we did not win ,I do not include Adam Kirby in that criticism he rode really well and but for a bike problem would have scored more ,,,and is making excellent strides to becoming a decent rider ..The top end is working well and Boxall, Compton and Morley are competing for the fith ride in heat 15 Which is good it keeps them on their toes..... Judging by the replacements we had ,there is nothing out there available any better than we have now ,so strengthening up is almost impossible with Steve taking such a large slice of the points available ,,Though i am not for one minute advocating his removal ,hes to good for that and exciting too.. Once again the track was an improvement on previous weeks and i think Charles Wright showed once he got dialed in,, how to ride it,, I just hope some of our lads were watching him blast round on the dirt line ,,i dont expect many more riders to pass Steve Boxall round here this year....
  14. Remains to be seen if this new signing is any improvement... Sam was a popular guy in the team and obviously would have benefitted riding at reserve,, and i believe only needed some financial help to get going..Hope another chance comes for him soon..
  15. Dont forget Lakeside was on the same night monday...Looking at the pictures on Sky at a guess i would say there were more fans at Kent ,,only guessing mind,,,before someone comes on here and tells me there were thousands at Lakeside...
  16. Another farcical situation by the look of it
  17. About time someone at KINGS LYNN gave us the full facts on the situation if what Iris says is right ,that does not seem fair on a rider who may be shunted in and out of the team, to accomodate that situation
  18. It might frighten them to death ,,thay are used to billiard tables..
  19. The track is indeed improving every meeting ,I work on the track on the first bend and no ruts appeared this night..This in turn will encourage the riders to really give it a go at passing ,and indeed there were some good ones tonight Tough on Jack Kingston hope he makes a swift recovery,, but he really needs to calm down a bit and smooth out his throttle control,,Adam Kirby impressed me with his battling attitude ,,just needs to sharpen his gating,. maybe experiment with some bike set ups... Steve Boxall is great,, all action ,, class act,,but may be his gating at this level could be better ,and with only one bike which is continually giving problems, it will effect his scoring...Benji Compton is settling in nicely and looks solid ..Connor Coles is improving on a weekly basis and should soon be back to last seasons form now mounted on better bikes..Sam Woods is not on the quickest of bikes and could do with some financial help,,for that matter so could all the lads ,any sponsers out there for your favourite rider would be hugely appreciated Our Ben Morley had a nightmare start to the meeting but after changing the set ups on his machine and getting into a determined frame of mind ,made 3 blinding starts to win his last three rides he also found some better lines around the track,And now feels more comfortable with his set ups ,,and the track ,,.For Kings Lynn i now feel they are favourites to win the league With Robert Lambert to come in at reserve and Lewis Rose showing blinding form on his first visit the venue,,plus 3 good heat leaders they will be hard to beat anywhere... Keep supporting the Kings things are improving.....
  20. [i make you dead right Bob..
  21. So Lambert has signed for Kings Lynn ,,Feel sorry for Len after all he did for Robert at Rye ,,Fortunately he is not riding on monday against the Kings..The young stars are now one of the strongest teams in the league ,if not the strongest .
  22. The time it takes to get out of the stadium needs sorting is there only one exit ?.i left some time after the meeting ended and there was still a long que to get out ..Fans leaving the outside seating area also had difficulty getting through the grandstand building...
  23. As far as filming goes Kens T2 TV company only charges £5 for national league matches at Rye.. The company at Kent Re Run productions, are charging £7 for them ..As someone who buys a lot of these videos i know who i would prefer doing them ..T2 TV ... Nice to see others supporting my view of the ref .She appears to have little understanding of young men racing motor bikes.. I know many men refs that are not to clever either ,,But call me sexist if you like i think it was a bad day for the sport when they started appointing lady referees...
