  1. Observasions on the Kent Kings at practice today at Rye house..David Mason sporting a new air vest wore out the chalk on the white line, solid enough ...Steve Boxall looked like he,d never been away ,,mounted on good equipment now,, he will be a great force at this level....Our Ben Morley was practicing starts and looked smooth and quick..Connor Coles was trying out new machinery which definatly was not new!, and i have seen him smoother than this ,, will need a little time to adjust and we will need him firing like last year ..Jack Kingston looked smooth and hopefully will up his pace as the season progresses. Which brings me to the lad who really impressed me , Adam Kirby, who attacked the track and has a nice style similar to Lee Smart ,I,think he has potential for rapid improvement this season...Sam Woods was also present and looked well on the pace going out with Ben Morley all morning,,,,Noticeable absentee however was Robert Lambert the will he ,wont he saga continues ???
  2. Great performance from the Rockets winning the match at Plymouth, .ie .Plymouth 40 ,,Rockets 52
  3. Tough one this for the Rockets with rider replacement in operation..Lets hope the track is better than it was for the under 21 semi...
  4. The track at Rye is normally like a billiard table..However frost has been a big problem for Len,, which he explained to the public before the meeting The other factor for the crashes was in my opinion,,, a combination of riders feeling their way at the start of the season ,, .. and some really going for it ,,on a track that today made some moves highly risky..The successfull ones making for some great racing The unsuccessfull ones leading to inevitable crashes,,The problem of only one ambulance was plain to see today and will have done nothing to get any newcommers to return to speedway.. It is a problem i think promoters need to address with some urgency,,I dont profess to know the answer,, however..dispite the bitter cold there were some great races in between the delays.....Nelson,,Melgren Garrity all looked good for excitng racing this year at Rye,,,,Allen and Lykke should soon get dialled in... Best wishes for the recovery of Bunyan and Lambert both unlucky today when giving their all or the team.......
  5. He was at Rye today (BANK MON) mentoring Jason ,Garrity.... Pretty sure he is still involved at Mildenhall....
  6. Hi Rockets,,I have not seen the track yet but i believe it is a simular size to Rye ,yardage wise,, but is wider,, i dont think it has any significent banking. ..Should suit Ben,,hopefully ,,who is of course looking for guest bookings as well as his meetings for the Kings.. Hope you can make it to some meetings it is a super stadium and the team is looking good....
  7. When he is 16 next year...Rockets
  8. If we make the right signing ,,? I would find myself agreeing with Parsloes top 4,, If we dont ,?,, id find myself agreeing with the doom mongers...
  9. Pity the team was not compleated for the speedway stars club predictions this week... It has many pundits tipping the Kings towards the bottom of the league weather thats true or not will depend on those last two signings..Lets hope we are not kept waiting much longer for that anticipated signing that would have the pundits putting the Kings at there other end of the league standings ...

  11. Thanks Nikko,,,, there used to be a rider at Rye refered to as Tommy 2 laps....
  12. Does he mean Tommy two laps??
  13. If Scunthorpe are going to run National league friendlies it begs the question why did they not stay in the league which would surely have gained more spectator interest than meaningless challenge matches ..?? They are a massive loss to the National league hopefully if these challenges are reasonably successfull they will return to the league in 2014 ..I hope so...
  14. Excellent effort and very handy reference...Note" Morley" spelled .like this,no worries..
  15. This is the strongest looking Kings Lynn side i have seen in recent seasons looks like they will be strong contenders. Can not wait for the meetings with our own Kent Kings.....
  16. Best wishes to Marc,,,, he sensibly is not rushing his return from a head injury ,, i am sure he will return when he feels ready ,,a natruly talented rider with potential...
  17. Well A j he is at 15yrs one of the best prospects since Ty Woffindon,, and everyone is talking about him ,and as such he is a big name, and his name was mentioned after you posted by Islander .so you must know who we are all talking about. he is not yet confirmed so we should not count our chickens yet ..But...we have two other excellent teenage prospects in Ben Morley and Connor Coles... Two expierienced riders in David Mason and Steve Boxall. And to say we could be going to have an exciting line up is an understatement ....Cant wait for May.. ...
  18. A J is king...A big name in terms of great potential and if you dont know who that is you have not been following the thread on Kings potential riders..Yes we can only slot in a 3+ and two 3 pointers..But if the 3 pointer everyone is talking about does sign ?? he wont stay on 3 for long ...
  19. Great news for Kent Kings speedway at his very best Steve Boxall is capable of being a Premier league heat leader.. And should be a stand out performer at this level .given a little time to shake off the cobwebs ..This side is shaping up to be League Champion contenders ,,It is very exciting, one big name to go?? hopefully ...
  20. I am sure the management have there eyes one or two decent youngsters but as we have seen so far its a waiting game .. ..
  21. Its all about putting riders in who are. ready to compete at the entry level of that league .If they struggle then the confidence disapears ,and often, so does the rider ..Its a hard one, that requires good judgement by those in charge ..It is a great shame about the Anglian junior league if that is the case, the best from that level often do make the grade..
  22. I agree with Shadders the team must be highly competative and so far so good if the talked about riders sign..But equally vital is the 3 pointers that are signed must not be of the half a lap behind variety that Rye national teams have had in the past... TMW To explain ,Ben Morley is a Rye House asset ..As such i believe they,,(assets), were offered to Kent Kings as potential signings..But at the end of the day all riders have a choice whatever league they ride in....
