Kent Kings V Dudley Heathens 26th Aug **3pm Start**

Yes despite the pre meeting mystery Steve Boxall rode ,,firstly he was limping in the pits before the meeting ..still he managed to easily hang on to the Bronze Helmet against Ashley Morris... later Morris got tangled with Steve in heat 13 comeing out of the 2nd bend i think it was the third lap ,not sure ,i thought it was a racing incident from where i was on the center green,, any way it cost Steve 2nd place behind Ben Morley who had a strong night with 12 from 5 rides.. Steve was not to happy about it after the race and a bit of handbags at close range took place and that was the last we saw of him as he limped off the track.. So this was a very entertaining meeting in more ways than one..The Kings ran out winners by 49 to 41 points an excellent performance from the lads,...David Mason celebrated a paid 4 ride max and deserved the rider of the meeting award ,this was easily Davids best performance of the season and he looked quick,,Elsewhere Jack Kingston is looking faster every week,3 good wins in his 10 score ,,had one nasty fall, but they too are reducing on a weekly basis,, i have high hopes he will make a decent rider.. Adam Kirby looked a bit down on power I know he likes long stroke engines but im not sure that is the best way to go in this day and age Connor battled hard with out to much reward for his efforts, and Benji Compton was up and down for his decent 7 point total For the visitors Paul Stark was excellent as usual round here recording 3 victorys in his 13 points.. Good back up from the battling Ashley Morris only let down a bit by his gating and a fall,, all the other Dudley lads chipped in with points to make this probably the best meeting here this year..Played out in front of a huge very enthusiastic crowd swelled by a large number of equally enthusiastic Dudley fans -

Condemnations of the guest rule,, which we all know is not ideal, only make sense if you can come up with an alternative solution to the problem that is not going to produce badly weakened uncompetetive teams ,the fans will not turn up to see get slaughtered... Who has the answer ? i suggest no one has,, -

With Heathens strength in depth they may feel R/R is the best option and gives their lads a chance of extra money ,,always welcome at this level,,By the way Kents ,Ben Morley guests for Glasgow at Redcar thursday ,, Jeoy Ringwood injured,,they obviously saw his ..paid 9 for Rye last weekend Hope he does well... -
Good meeting tonight with Kent running out 53 -42 winners solid right through the team was the reason for this latest win ... Apart from Worrall Stokes other heat leaders were a bit inconsistant,,... including guest Halsey Next week against Dudley wont be easy but if the boys all fire like tonight we will be in with a shout...

I hope your right im not that confident

Coventry Storm V Kings Lynn - Friday 16th August
waco replied to NeilWatson's topic in National League Speedway
As an unbiased outsider i would think Kings Lynn will edge this one ,,to much strenght in depth compared to the Storm ,,,,with Branford out Coventry will need plenty of points from R\R.... Joe Jacobs has come on well this season but i dont see him holding Lambert..Sarjeant,,Kerr could go either way ,,,Kerr is not always as good as he should be away and Sarjeant has been going through the tapes a lot lately could be the added pressure of trying to gate in the premier league... Rose is a spoiler too,, Knight can get points..While Mallet does not seem as strong as recent seasons For the Storm Greenwood is a forcefull rider ,,but i dont see many points below Crang who,s a bit in and out ,but improving .....Hazelden. for Lynn is the pick of the reserves..Having said all that watch them all go out and prove me wrong... -
Yes the kings should prevail against Stoke... but some of our riders are still prone to poor meetings, and if several have a bad night at the same time things could go horribly wrong...Hopefully Adam and Benji have sorted out the mechanical problems and Jack can stay upright when he does he can look quite quick,,still needs to calm down a bit to avoid chucking points away ..David is riding with his head and picks up good points because of this...Jack take notice...Steve is better than this level and it shows meeting after meeting..Ben is solid enough but i know is still looking to raise his game to another level..Hopefully it will be a good meeting with everyone firing on all cylinders.....

King's Lynn Young Stars V Kent Kings, Nat Lge, 14/08/2013
waco replied to a topic in National League Speedway
Thanks for clearing that up Dale ,,I believe a lot of people were unsure of that fact,,me for one..How ever if you have to go out with the likes of Lambert or Boxall in heat 15 on a regular basis it could have a bad effect on that riders average ,,he might think twice about excepting the ride ? which would likely result in just 1 point or even less ..as i believe bonus points dont count on the C.M.A ..But on reflection i dont suppose many riders would think of that outcome.... -

Request to Nikko,, please do not leave the forum ,,,the information you provide on the Kent Kings is highly valued by all its followers on here...Dont let the few put you off ..The respect those in speedway have,, who know you ,has been earned over time and will continue... -
Thanks for the info Nikko,,I too took notice of Halifax Tigers comments about the track,,,,I have visited the track 3 times before and on every occasion it has been heavy and very rough to start with ,,but improved as the meetings progressed ,,okay for experienced riders ,,But very difficult for young.. inexperienced riders who are not used to the track ...It has obviously cost us dearly,, and we now have considerable problems for tomorrows meeting against Coventry ...6-30 pm

Kingston injured at Buxton this afternoon and Boxall withdrawn from the meeting with no reason given some one must know why ?,,which i find un exceptable...with only Mason and Morley getting a decent score ,,,the meeting was a disaster..... Could have problems for tomorrows tough match against Coventry -
Sounds like the track was the usual ploughed field with riders falling all over the place ,,not a good advert for speedway ,,Jack Kingston badly injured and Boxall withdrawn from the meeting ,,does anyone know why,,???,, as we have another meeting tomorrow ,,a disaster apart from Mason and Morley..

Rye House V Leicester Saturday 10.08.13
waco replied to barrow boy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Pontus Aspgren is proving the signing of the season taking 7 rides, for paid 18,, one off Ben Morley guesting in the main body of the team who was unlucky to lose his ride in heat 14,, having scored a solid 5+1 from his 3 rides ...Ollie Allen needed the meeting to get dialled back in ,looked a bit all at sea early on, but improved with a late win.... Melgren was a bit up and down,, Nelson was Nelson,, Lykke was Lykke ,,never sure what your going to get from one race to the next..Bunyan was solid as usual..We held on in a half decent meeting against a determined Leicester side with good performances from Jorgenson,,Doolan,,Karlsson and Graversen.... and great verbal support from their travelling fans,,. -

The track was flooded so no ones fault . the rain was torrential for a short time, these thing s happen ..some of the riders had 500 mile round trips with traveling exspenses barely covering one way,,,Every one loses im afraid ... some more than others.. -
Its a shame really for a big guy he had a lot of natural ability on the bike..maybe the enthusiasm to race like he used to will come back if he gets a track that is right for him ,, you dont lose class and he has plenty of that,,,Love to have him here at Kent..
-
Kent Kings ran the Hitmen close on their last visit in may ,,Steve ,Ben and Adam all performing well there .A good result may depend on David,Mason,s performance ,,,,and the youngsters to nick a few points ...The track up in the hills can sometimes be a bit rough and heavy , SteveBoxall will love it... Ben Morley quite likes it ,,and we now have the added scoring power of Benji Compton who can do better than his debut score of 4+1 in May ,now he is dialed in ,,Of course Buxton have the points machine in Charles Wright , and good back up from Adam Mckinna ,,,, and Liam Carr is more than capable ...This one could go to the wire.....Hope all the riders have a good safe meeting,,, Wether we deserve to win there Gustix will surely depend on how we ride as a team on the day ,,,,

Mildenhall Fen Tigers V King's Lynn Young Stars
waco replied to Bagpuss's topic in National League Speedway
Phil..I spoke to Lewis Rose and Rob Henry together after the meeting.. Rose did in fact stop because of the actions of the track staff and Rob admitted he was wrong and probably cost Rose the race, this was outside interference that should have been noticed by the ref as an unsatisfactory start ..Both Lewis and Rob agreed they would learn by their mistakes ,,there was no animosity and hopefully it will not happen again at Mildenhall.. -
Mildenhall Fen Tigers V King's Lynn Young Stars

Kings Lynn took the lead in this match heat 7 when Ben Morley and Darren Mallet combined for a 4-2 over Dan Halsey and maintained it till the turning point in heat 10 Where Lewis Rose made a brilliant gate 3 bike lenghts in front ,only for the Mildenhall track staff on the center green including Rob Henry to throw up their arms appealing to the ref for a false start,,Rose seeing this,, then shut off expecting the red lights which never came on and the other 3 riders roared past him due to the actions of the centre green staff the ref should have called an unsatisfactory start but with Mildenhall,s riders in front he played the homer,,I and many others thought this was a disgrace,, and from then on Mildenhall dominated proceedings ,,,,,In heat 15 Nielson T boned Morley coming out of the last bend ripping out most of the spokes on Bens front wheel and he was lucky to stay on to hobble over the line for 2nd....Nielsen had fallen and rightfully excluded,,..Still a decent meeting the the high light for me was watching the emerging talent that is young Josh Bates score an immaculate 15 point max This lad i believe only 16 yrs is an outstanding prospect for the future -

I have been connected to speedway for 63 years In that time i .have been employed at Rayleigh and Rye house full time working on track preparation and as a pit marshall and as a security officer ,,Have seen all the greats ,,been to most tracks in the country, and now sponser my grandson Ben Morley and work race days at Kent Kings speedway .So i dont think i can learn anything from you Gustix ,, And i dont feel the need to use heavier type than any one else to post on here ... Unfortunatly i dont think i can live in the past either,,,im more concerned with the present and the future -

Looking forward to this one, always enjoy our visits to Mildenhall one of the best tracks to watch the racing .The fen Tigers look back to full strength especially with Aarron Basby at res ,While Lynn will miss the scoring power of Robert Lambert ,still they knew he would be missing a lot when they signed him. But.wIth Kerr missing as well ,I will be hoping our Ben Morley can provide good guest cover... and all the riders have a great safe meeting
