  1. Well that's two failed attempts at a reply. Have another go.
  2. Noggin, did TNT say that any posts or edits after start time would make those posts void? Had it been someone else who edited their post, what would your view on it be if he said, "ok I'll take your word for it this time"? Could you or TNT be sure they didn't change the riders? I'm not saying you did, and I don't believe you did but it was made quite clear so you have no cause to complain. Take it on the chin and admit you made a mistake and get on with it or don't enter and stop being a bad sportsman.
  3. I didn't think the British Final was part of the qualifying process anymore? Why can Tai not qualify this year?
  4. Just what I was thinking. And if the programme price is insulting, he could print his own.
  5. thanks for the line-up. Lindback or Ulamek to win it, but I'll go with Lindback. Andersen 3rd if he rides.
  6. I think you probably mean Total Waste of A good Talent
  7. For me, Eddie Kennett is a better bet than Ollie Allen. If I was manager I couldn't leave Kennett out this year and I think Allen would be a gamble. He doesn't seem to have progressed in the last four years and I can't see him going any further than he is. Kennett has improved and matured and will probably be out and out number one in two or three years time and I fancy he will rise to the occasion at Lynn.
  8. Richardson has stated that he's retired from international speedway so I doubt he will do them. What of Hans Andersen though? Is he still unable to ride?
  9. Copy and paste the email into google translator.
  10. And he's riding EL with Birmingham this year with a near 8.00 average, higher than Tai Woffinden's average. Fairly sure Woffinden was a PL rider when making his debut in the World Cup too. Jan Staechmann was a 2nd division World Finalist and Carl Stonehewer a PL Grand Prix rider for a couple of seasons. Still, you have to laugh at some posts!
  11. as I said, I saw it from a rider's point of view. So yes. I wasn't having a go, as his sponsor you could be forgiven for being biased towards him. Anyone would be.
  12. Top five is a no brainer really. Of the other 4 only Robson would be worth a try at that level this year with Bridger next in line should things get desperate. King and Allen aren't up to it. I think Barker will do a good job.
  13. Rubbish? Why, because you have a different opinion? Why do you need names? All that matters is the majority of people I have spoken to who have been in that position first hand see it that way. It's of no relevance who they are and I am not going to put their names on a public forum. Whether it is correct or not it's an opinion from a rider's point of view in that situation, that's all. From some of the posts here it is clear some don't know what they are talking about but that's their view and it's fine. That's why we are here, no need to get upset about peoples views.
  14. I don't know what you originally picked and he can't be sure either which is why he specified no editing after start time. You've got to have rules in anything, those are the rules. If you break them there's no argument.
  15. Harris caused his own incident. Had he gone down immediately it would have been caused by the collision. But his first instinct was to save it, then thought no, I'm stuffed here, let's go for a rerun. Good post earlier about the discussion without abuse. Totally agree, makes a nice change.
  16. You're hardly likely to call it any other way though when Harris is involved.
  17. How childish! He did remind us all that anyone who posts or edits after the start would not be counted.
  18. Harris or any rider for that matter would not go on camera and admit to jumping off to get a rerun. It's part of it but they keep that to themselves. Riders rely on instinct in a race and have to make split second decisions. I'm not saying he was doing anything devious, but from a rider's point of view, when he was hit by Nicki and thrown off line he had to make a decision on instinct. The time between nicki hitting him and him falling off is the time it took for him to decide to get off. He wasn't knocked off because if he had there would be no time lapse. In response to DukesGreg, of course no rider would drop the bike purposely if in front but at the time of his fall he wasn't in front and would have gone wide, allowing Crump through so in that split second he decided the only hope was to try and get a rerun. Of course, had it gone his way he wouldn't have had Nicki to contend with.
  19. It's not nonsense. Almost every rider and ex rider I've spoken to agrees Harris could have stayed on but tried to get a rerun.
  20. I don't think anybody is saying it does. But there are 5 types of fall: Being knocked off/collision causing fall Falling by mistake Bailing out to avoid serious injury Laying down to avoid a rider Tactical slide off Harris's was the latter.
