  1. yes it's already been posted. You seem slightly confused by the statement?
  2. He has, always been an odd ball right from when he was 16 and has gotten worse with age.
  3. Jason Crump. Hero to zero. It doesn't take much to be civil to the people who make you what you are. It's not as if you have people camping outside your home, paparazzi following you everywhere, news reporters in your face at every airport. Speedway riders enjoy the ideal kind of fame, they can enjoy a normal lifestyle whilst still being idolised by thousands. Just a quick response to these kids would have made their day and put Crumpie in their hearts forever more. If he can't even do that he doesn't deserve to be called a hero.
  4. Not necessarily. As already stated, the Olympic Football people want the stadium from around that time until mid August so it could well be that hotels are selling for those people. I think late August would be the best option and would mean a good chance of decent weather.
  5. Yes Nicki ran them very wide and if he'd ran them much wider they would have been in the air fence and he'd have been excluded, but he didn't and he wasn't, he left just enough room and that's racing. He knew exactly what he needed to do. The guys on the outside do have the option to knock it back and cut back or keep going and they kept going, and fair play to Greg it paid off.
  6. it's not a question of whether Denmark or Poland can qualify anywhere but whether the other nations could qualify for their home final. If it's in Denmark or Poland you're almost guaranteesd to have the home nation there but if its in Britain, Sweden or Russia it's not a safe bet. Hence the reason it's never in Germany, Italy, Czecho, Slovenia, etc.
  7. I didn't see a Walkabout in the pits. Good thing Holder didn't either.
  8. I wish I'd gone with you instead now, you sound like a great laugh.
  9. The draw is known on the Friday so a quick look at speedwaygp.com would have given you all the info needed.
  10. Stekkers was spot on but let's not go over that one again.
  11. Thanks for letting us know Philip. I suspected there were problems with contracts but this would seem a much easier hurdle to overcome. Surely the answer is to have it later in the series, early August?
  12. Sadly, I think Tai is the only hope Britain has of a future world champion at present, but don't be too fooled by his great performance on Saturday. He rode a blinder and actually did well to stay on his bike when he lifted near the air fence, but he also had a blinding race last year against Pedersen and Andersen in an otherwise tepid season. In his defence though I have to say he had a lot going on last year with losing his dad. Not just his dad but the man who has steered him to being the fastest rising Brit for many years and it must have been a real void not having him around and maybe last year was too much too soon for him. Out of all the Brits if I was going to give one place next year it would have to be to him. Harris is the only other rider capable of mixing it at GP level but by now he should be making regular semis and challenging for the top 3 or 4 places instead of chasing qualification every year.
  13. I don't know why but he just looked like some random Emil fan who'd somehow sneaked into the pits, bless him.
  14. I'm pretty sure in the past it's not been announced until at least a week after.
  15. That happened at Coventry once. My guess is there were 2 dead heats.
  16. That much is true, but what the old dear doesn't realise is we were talking about the re-run. Shame he's retired for his cocoa, thought he might have come over and bought me a beer
  17. As I said it's for the best if you do because it sounds like you're about to have a stroke. How soon should he have turned back? Either way by locking up and turning back on a slick track on a slow bike he would have allowed the fast boys with their wheels in line to go around him. Talking of going a round, it's mine. i need to concentrate on the beer and try not to spill any over my big Aussie buddy
  18. Well, point 1; That's racist. Point 2, it's not a false grin, it's all his own and he is like that "in real life". Point 3, they're all on the "can bandwagon", if a company was throwing thousands of pounds my way I'd definitely say cheers to them on tv in every interview.
  19. It's probably for the best. BWitcher has got it spot on.
