On the bright side, at least there won't be riders missing on Thursdays after being recalled to Poland, on " our " day , that we gave up so the poles would relax their rules on the amount of riders trade they controlled

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
castrolargh replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
In light of the announcement from Poland that 2026 is the last season that their top 2 leagues will "allow" their riders to race in more than one extra league, surely bspl should have a massive re think and put plans in place NOW rather than a knee jerk next season? So much for the 'deal'giving some Thursdays to Poland in exchange for them allowing international riders to race elsewhere. Looks like we won't have gp stars after next season so might as well start planning now.Surely this must push us towards restructuring, as all the arguments about 1 league meaning the end of the big stars is surely irrelevant -
The Rider with the best style of riding.

Andrew Silver.Instantly recognisable.I was walking past the pits at rye house when he came out for a practice skid before the one season he had circa 2009? I hadn't seen him ride since he was at Swindon and clocked him straight away -
What about Northampton?

I heard a similar rumour at lynn a couple of weeks ago -
No we dont

What surprises me is that it was cancelled because it wasn't unanimous amongst the riders wanting to give it a go. I would imagine the likes of Danny King would relish the conditions, or at the very least adapt and do well whereas certain others possibly from the southern hemisphere may not fancy it. Reminds me of kings lynn 2017

Richard Lawson should be one of the first names on the team sheet
-
Jan is averaging just over 9 at home and just over 6 away

My thoughts on last night. Nic,Richard and Jan have kept the fixture alive basically. Luke did well in heat 2,but Puk, Bomber and lewi were very disappointing. On a more trivial note, I find inserts in a full priced program really annoying at the best of times but come on this is a knockout cup final, potentially a keepsake program so using one from a rained off belle vue meeting just sucks. Surely that could have been kept for the rescheduled day and given the fans a bit of a souvenir? Moan over. Good luck on Thursday lads

It strikes me as farcical that nicolai can be recalled to Poland after A )initially not being in the team B ) signing for his Polish team after the season started, surely that should give GB priority on what is C) supposedly " our " night What is the point of having fixed nights if we have to give up priority?

It should have been compulsory in the 2nd tier to bridge the gap between ndl and championship. That would be the more logical step, and then maybe have 2 under 24 british riders in the premiership reserve berths

Depends which Ellis turns up.Hopefully the one that rides for the stars as a guest and not the one that scores points/ doesn't go through the tapes -
I think you're right. He rode at reserve but not as a rising star

Didn't belle vue drop Connor mountain mid season too? I thought he was in the rising star scheme as well
-
Connor mountain?

I hope so
