  1. It's a shi*e of a country, when Adrian Rymel won the championship out there, he was arrested mainly to stop him beating the local hero, if it wasn't for Carlos Villar, he would have been in serious shi*e
  2. I didnt say rubbish I said SH*TE No wonder I stay well clear
  3. Karaoke is best consigned to the dust bin, just a noisy load of rubbish heads who cannot sing
  4. Xmas is bad enough without having a bl**dy quiz when you are out for a drink, could be worse though bl**dy kareoke
  5. They will probably have a meeting in February, then deliberate, and make their mind up in June, just like most Government departments.
  6. Scott, it's a business, you need to do things when they need to be done, it's not rocket science after all. If a rider is under performing and you have attempted to do everything you can to overcome the problem, then. GET RID . before too much damage is done. I don't think it is ruthless at all, just good business. I am loyal to my suppliers, but, only as long as it is beneficial to me.
  7. Every one knew that Gjedde was at Berwick simply so he could double up for Belle Vue, and really wanted to bet Newport, he was rubbish for a reason.
  8. Was giving a choice of riders, not fitting them all into one team, see what I mean now
  9. Still in favour of new assets, although the team I suggested had only one new asset in it, who was on a 7 and likely to have improved on that, who has a proven track record in Europe. I like what I have heard about Allen, but on a 5 assessed average, who in 1st season may well have held a 5 or there abouts.. So your assessment of what I said is seriously flawed, in saying i would have filled the team with 5 & 7 assessed riders, another case of reading something that was not written just your context of it.
  10. If you don't look at the negative, how do you know what the positve is It's forbidden to have an opinion, havn't you worked that out yet NAH! The art is to get the best team you can on 42.50, if you get one bit of the equation wrong, then the answer is wrong. Allen on a 5 good shout on a 7 ????
  11. I am pretty sure Edinburghs crowds last season were double ours, and Newcastle is deceiving because so many are inside, but probably about 800 plus. Our promotion made a statement sayingnthe club only averaged about 600plus.
  12. Don't see the contradiction myself, but I am not racked with everyones ideas being suspicious. I agree with Screm, we should always look to the future, but use history as a lesson, learn from the good ideas and reject the bad ideas. As said P.W. was a master at finding a rider on loan who had something to prove, but as soon as they had proved it, drop them and find another. Unfortunately the current administration have the ability to find that type of rider but instead of getting rid of after they have proven themselves, they keep the said rider for the next season and in some cases three seasons. There is a lesson to be learned from the likes of P.W.
  13. To be honest Scott, running with someone like Barker at 8.91 ( nearly a 9.00 ave) I think both your reserves need to be in 4 to 5 average with a capability of exceeding a 6 ave, then swapping around with a higher average rider.
  14. To be honest, this has been quite a good discussion, lots of opinions, without anybody getting personal. Makes a refreshing change, as out of discussion you can get answers.
  15. I dont think anyone is arguing that Barker is not a good signing, they are talking about how you structure your line up to be competetive. Think you are right Love the squad idea, but sadly in a declining sport not enough riders to go around. I dislike doubling up in any form. As I said dont think they are, they are questioning the way the team is being constructed.
  16. Isn't that what I am saying, perhaps less direct If they didn't kill each other in the pits, no love between those two Remember!, one rider does not make a team That line up was a bit of a rarity, and well deserved for assembling a team like that. Looks like Glasgow may have achieved something similar, but via a different route, MONEY,MONEY. MONEY Injuries, weather etc. etc. always used as an excuse, it's generally the same for every team. You cannot run a team on IF,IF,IF, it always comes down to management. It's like saying in my shop, what IF I run out of watch batteries, it won't happen as I always make sure I havve enough stock to cover, with back up suppliers, just in case.
  17. Every time we have gone down the No1 route in the last few years, we are in the bottom 3, last year a team in depth 4th. Time listen to the facts and not pander the the pleas of certain fans.
  18. Thank you for your effort, much appreciated.. I do remember Chris Kerr having a problem.
