So, is that rule still in place as part of the visa stipulation, and, or are the BSPA just ignoring it. Had to come back to your reply, as I havn't been involved in speedway for 20 years, probably about 15 years, as I am a biker and generally we are not into speedway, shock horror. So the above answer helps a lot, as it is within the last 5 years, To your 2nd point it was in the rules
-
Would have thought the ruling was pretty clear, anyone needing a visa comes in on an assessed average of 7. What the hell do they need a meeting for.
-
Something in the back of my mind, about the visa stipulations. Does an assessed rider on a 7 average from without the EU, have to maintain the 7 average to be granted a visa for the following season.
-
They introduced a set of rules to be followed about 2 yrs ago, just the promoters trying to push their luck, and have been caught lacking. I hope Dave Peat dosn't mind, but he told me he will do welll for Berwick, needed a change of scenery, a bit like Kus. Like you I still am not sure, But I do trust Dave, so hope he is right. Austrailia is classed as a foreign country, same as USA, South Africa etc. You cannot have one rule for one foreign country different to another, they must be treated equally. Remember their visa is generally only to ride speedway, and does not permit them to earn any other income from normal employment. The Commonwealth means nothing, other than they used to be part of The British Empire, which hopefully is in our distant past. Austrailia is now an independantly run country, and has no longer anything to do with the UK, except it's history Yes it is, it's the Promoters trying to fiddle the ruling

I do think a massive amount of extra effort could be put into a generic poster, I have a feeling that they produce a generic poster but rely on it to distribute itself all on it's own, it needs a person to place every poster in every sort of retail outlet, I have so many people pop in to see what is going on, in most cases I can sort of help, but of course only with the info I am furnished with, so the assumption is they are not receiving the info for what ever reason.

Take it to employment arbitration in Europe, ZILCH value for any of them.

Advertiser, Southern & Berwickshire, only about 7000 circulation, I am OK with social media but a lot are not. The main points eventually get into The Speedway Star and the press, usuall the same source. Supporters club events for an example, are pretty well only by social media. I think what I am trying to say is, if every angle is covered, it can only be good for speedway in Berwick.

The problem with relying on Facebook, the majority of fans are in their dotage and in many cases do not use social media. So by placing the emphasis for supplying information on social mesia , the vast majority are not recieving any information. It is thetrefore the resposibility of the Promotion to supply information in all formats, not just social media

Tell you what he told me, have a drink with a rider, never make friends with them, you going to have sack them some time. Pretty goog phylosophy on my book. I would say he got them at a sensible price, so to earn their point money they had to win.
-
Probably a bit too much emphasis on signing a particular rider, as opposed to assembling a competetive team. This year was the 1st time since taking over from PW that we had something that you could call competetive, no Prima Donas, just a competetive team. Get straight back to that formula, same goes for the track, the promotion prepared a brilliant racing surface for the FIM under 21s, stick to it, it works.

As I said previously Brian praised him highly at Redcar in 2013, he new the problem with Matej, and was willing to stick with him. He probably needed that year away to get his head back together.
-
His style always reminded me of Rymel, nor surprising as they shared the same garage at Marketa, probably not as exciting to watch as Adrian. Like you I feel he did OK in the main body, it was the clubs luck that he rode at reserve for that period. I also believe there was little bit more to come, closer to an eight Average.
-
Not very often I correct you Screm. Matej was on a massive low in 2013, he went to Austrailia pre Xmas, rode well, picked him up big time. When He signed for Berwick he was the most confident I had seen in a few years, so please stand corrected.

There are some people you wouldn't piss on if they were on fire, this is one of them.

How many times have you seen someone go to the wall, owing thousands to local businesses, who then struggle because of someone elses business failure. We have a local B&B owner & restraunteur who went bust for £428,000, didn't lose part of her empire because she had two limited compamies, one for the B&B which she still operates and another for the restaurant which went bankrupt. She then opened a cafe in the town, and her creditors cannot touch her other assets, only those of the restaurant, where the property was rented and not owned.
-
More likely, Brian wanted his asset at Redcar, and there ends that story.
-
Scott, the reason 'Limited Companies' are formed is to create a safety net. If the Ltd. Co. gets into financial difficulties, it is the assets of the company that is affected, not any personal assets, unless they have been used as security.. The Financial accountability is only to the board of directors, and any sharholders, they do not have to be accountable to the general public. It's only when it is too late for any creditors, that they get involved, trying to salvage anything that is left.

That puts it over better than I did
-
And there is nothing wrong with that

Season of good will, mind your suggestion is for ever in my hands.

The one thing I like about you Paul, EVER THE OPTIMIST
-
I am just taking the assumption, that the rule is correct, if he needs a visa then he comes in on a 7, Great if it can be fiddled so he comes in on a 5. If so you can look at arider up to 5.24.

Don't think it's about picking fault, it is about holding a debate to move the situation forward, to the advantage of the club and it's fan base. So for me the more ideas that atr thrown into the pot, the better the outcome may be. On another bent what about this team:- 1. BEN BARKER 8.91 2. ZDNEK HULIUB 5.00 (assessed) 3. EDUARD KRACMA 7.00 (assessed) 4. JORGENSSON 7.08 5. Jack ALLEN 7.00 (assessed) 6. ALEX EDBERG 3.84 7. DAN HALSEY 3.00 should be 41.83
-
Then place a value on their work as a volunteer, for example the labour to build Berrington was 10% to 15% of the value of the club, they should be represented on the board for that amount of input, a 10% to 15% vote on how the club is run. A fair reward for their endeavours.
