  1. I blo**y hope we don't see the deep dark stuff again, it's taken neatrly 5 years to get rid of it and have a raceable track, suited to modern set up's
  2. Think you will find the 'New Holland' deal, was not as straight forward as the average fan thinks, based on a sum of money via New Holland, and 6 New Holland outlets, all named individually in your programmes.
  3. My recollection the deal was for 3 years, £45.000 (£15,000 per year), and were willing to extend for one more year when the club could not find a sponsor, this offer from AJS was declined. They left the offer on the table with a set date, if the club changed it's mind, that date was passed and offer was withdrawn. I would never pay up front for anything, unless the company is 100% safe. With the constant threat of can we afford to run, a big risk of losing your money.
  4. Give me the name of the bank that pays interest of any value.
  5. You are right he is not a bad rider, but to be honest I do not see much of an improvement on 7,09, thats why I would be looking for a new asset on a 7.00 assessed average, with no transfer fee.
  6. Hope they are upgrading the bar for Paulco :drink:
  7. Would like too, but would rather Berwick spoke to them. Mind you when I saw Wolbert at the Golden Helmet, I did think why the hell did you not ride like that in theUK
  8. I can understand your view, but there are some really interesting riders at the moment
  9. If it is true about Jorgensson, I would have much preferred to have taken a chance with an up and coming assessed 7 pointer, than taking a chance with someone elses cast off, on a transfer fee.
  10. David is one of the nicest guys you could meet, I waited 3 seasons for him to reach his potential, never quite got to where I thought he would get. One of those inigmas, like Josef Franc, I hope for him he achieves his potential at Sheffield, good luck to David.
  11. Wouldn't that be interesting, 17.84 on two riders, need a damn site more than eddies £20s
  12. They were not using it for The Butchery business, it was an older van, they let a rider use for speedway, if I remember Tero Aarnio fitted the inside out, to use for speedway.
  13. The van in question had been loaned out to riders, he thought it would be better to own it than borrow it, so he simply offered a price.
  14. Simlify it, no doubling up or doubling down. If a rider wants to step down to PL use the 1.4 or 1.6 what ever you want but he only rides PL, same in reverse if he wants to ride EL, same goes for the NL
  15. NO HE DID NOT HAVE AN ARGUAMENT WITH PETER WAITE OVER A VAN. The disagreement was when the new promotion took over when Dave Peat was the manager. Adrian wanted to buy the marroon transit van off the butchers, they did not want to sell it, he went to Workington instead. There were all sorts of rumours New Vans, New engines etc. etc. none of which were true, the deal fell through over a very small amount of money, mainly to do with insurance, tyres and fuel.
  16. BSPA, private club mate, don't obey the club rules you are out
  17. Something odd in the covenant about car parking, thats why Berwick rangers do a 50/50 draw at the gate to get around it. Now thers an option.
  18. Didn't say that, I said he was affordable Because you have taken an assumption that the regular 500 attendees will all be willing to pay £20 Sadly most Berwick fans are in your low pay sector. You know what they say around here 'Thats good pay for Berwick', of course it is p*ss poor ant where else.
