Blimey someone who thinks the same way as I do about Tai........................ The other three I am OK with but still think Tai is too immature and hot headed to deal with the pressure..............(cue srbramble comment) RP -

I remember Take Your Pick cos my Dad was in the audience for a show....................... And correct me if I am wrong but did a Speedway rider appear on They Think Its All Over and if so who was it????????????? Kelvin Tatum rings a bell but it might have been later than his retirement................... RP

To be honest he is still young enough to make a go of it but may be take a year out..................and anyway as someone else said if as reigning British Champion he is not offered it it would be wrong............(had forgotten about that point) but I still maintain that really there is no British rider who should be there by right as there are none good enough to maintain consistant form for a full GP series.............. Not judging on the Lakeside incident at all but on a number of incidents (including his run in with Bjarne Pedersen at Poole)................. I reiterate................I am not Anti Tai at all, just feel he is not ready for the GP series yet................. RP -

re read my post.......................I did say if he has grudges not that he has.....................and everyone is entitled to a blow out now and again................a shame its happened in a couple of GP's this year................ I did not accuse Tai of having a quick temper...................I said he is hot headed.............there is a difference..............If you want hot headed and quick tempered I suggest you don't cross me because I am both of those............... I don't know why you seem to think I don't like Tai because I think he is one of the best prospects we have had in years.............I am just putting across a view I believe would be more beneficial in the long term for his career prospects............... Not at all pathetic and no more so than saying he is hardly Craig Boyce............... What I am saying is that it takes a certain maturity to be a GP rider...............he in my opinion is not mature enough if he can lose his rag at the drop of a hat...................which is what appears to have happened over the course of the season...........if he does have grudges it should not reflect on what he does on track............... The Craig Boyce/Tomasz Gollob incident is so far in the past I would have though most people had forgotten it..................... All riders can be tempermental............it just he seems to be more than most I have seen in the 33 years I have been following the sport............... RP -

As I said before there are not really any Brits worthy of a place in the GP's..................Tai is too young and too hot headed and Kennett will never be a 'World Class' rider.............there are youngsters coming through but are they being given a chance to compete with the big boys???????????? May be the fact there are not enough 'good' Brits at the moment is because the Elite League is overloaded with foreigners and not only that very few are given the chance to double up because of the number of foreign riders at reserve......... How many teams have more than one Brit in their team all the time in the Elite League???????????? May be the time has come to put British Speedway back on the map.............let more Brits into the Elite League and then may be it will go back to the 70's and 80's when British Speedway was at least ten times better than it is now.................... Rant over RP -

I agree with Lindgren and Zagar but as for who the other two should go to I am not sure...............I think that Woffinden is too young and too hot headed to be able to cope with the GP series and much as I like Andersen I think a year out would do him good...................... Ok so for the other two then what about Lee Richardson (although I think that at the moment there are no British riders who are truly worthy of a place but I would rather see Lee in than no Brit at all) and Antonio Lindback....................... RP -
I thought they said Gollob was going on for another 5 years.......or was I imagining things..............(wouldn't surprise me if I was) RP

Best GP of the year from a racing point of view...................pity about the dust though............... RP

Red Panda replied to SteveEvans's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Football..............oh that over rated game where people get paid silly money to run round a pitch and look like pansies.................... I'll stick to the GP thanks................... RP -
Why was the winner embarrassing????????????? Can't see how if he won it on merit................ RP
-
Well done to Zorro, Noddy and Jarek...............................does anyone have the full results at all????????????? As for those of you who have written Zorro off without seeing him turn a wheel in a GP................he may be older but at least he is a true showman and entertains wherever he goes......................Noddy is the first of the real new generation to come through and should be there for a good few years yet................................ RP
