  1. Glasgow even charging fans to watch P + P and the meet the riders event now. They will soon price themselves out of the game once the novelty wears off. Managed to charge me £3 for a portion of awful chips last Sunday!
  2. The rule was changed at the AGM so the club the rider has ridden for the longest have preference. So for Craig Cook, if he signs for Belle Vue, they would have priority over Workington. If a rider was riding for 2 new clubs, It would then go on which league the team he's owned by rides in.
  3. James Shares wasn't scoring double figures in the Premier League though. It would not surprise me if Dan Bewley is averaging more than double of what Shanes is at the end of the season.
  4. We've been touted as one of the top teams pre-season for the last 2/3 years, that's never gone to plan has it. Maybe underdog or dark horse status may do the trick I think quite a few of our riders will improve on their average next year, with Ty Proctor surprising a lot of people.
  5. Wouldn't put it past them to announce Seb Ulamek next
  6. Graversen is 3.83, no one could of predicted that one!
  7. I'm just guessing as I can't see Sheffield getting it wrong, none of the averages on the BSPA website include a British reduction i.e. Bewley (4.00) is 3.90
  8. I did think that, but it's the only explanation, it could also apply to British under 21 riders
  9. Josh Bates is 4.89 with a British Reduction The team should come to 39.97 in total
  10. Last nights fans forum was very positive, very pleased with the team and the turnout was fantastic. Having Craig Cook back is a massive boost for the sport in the town. Having 7 UK based riders this season will be a relief for the promotion. But the bigger positives are the new changes to the overall race night experience, including a new onsite cafe open before and after the meeting, a press conference in the bar after the meeting and the new deal with the rugby club which is going to bring more money in through Laura's catering business. This looks to have secured the future of the club for the foreseeable. Well done to the Comets promotion and Workington Town RLFC! Different teams are going to have to different strengths and weaknesses, depending how they are built. Most of these will probably balance themselves out throughout the team. If Peterborough build a balanced 1-7 with Holder as No1, they probably won't have a number 1 whoever it is at the time, capable of winning all 3 of Heats 11,13 and 15 in an away meeting. You could back and forward for a while of advantages and disadvantages of each team in the league.
  11. Hardly terrible, Peterborough have signed Simon Lambert who's coming back from a long lay off on a similar average to also ride at second string, i know who the more talented rider is!
  12. Your missing the main man, CC111 Replace Cook with Wells and Greaves (2.32) with Busch and I think you have the team. Unfortunately I think Ricky Wells will be at Edinburgh.
  13. Definitely wouldn't have Kus, gives up too easily. Charles Wright would be a much better option on a lower average
  14. Campton? I'd probably have him back to be fair, but it's a numbers game, and working the teams out he didn't seem to fit.
  15. If it's not going to be Craig Cook at number 1, we'd be best going with Wells as number 1 and a stronger reserve pairing. 1 Craig Cook 9.83 2 Dan Bewley 3.90 3 Stuart Robson 7.09 4 Joe Jacobs 5.36 5 Ricky Wells 7.92 6 Nathan Greaves 2.32 7 Matt Williamson 3.58 Total 40.00 1 Ricky Wells 7.92 2 Max Clegg 4.23 3 Rene Bach 7.53 4 Gino Manzares 5.43 5 David Bellego 7.63 6 Tom Perry 3.67 7 Matt Williamson 3.58 Total 39.99
  16. Those list of averages are confusing, but the Comets Management confirmed that Campton would start on 4.67 for 2017 as the lowest average has dropped to 4. Nielsen would start on 4.19, Sissis and Castagna will both be 4.
  17. It's not that long ago from the early years of the Comets re-forming that we would take coach loads of fans and match or outnumber the number of home supporters at places like Glasgow and Newcastle on a Sunday. I would enjoy the new era bandwagon while it lasts. It's a shame that most clubs nowadays only bring a handful of supporters to an away meeting.
  18. What are you even on about here? Being a good gater is all part of being successful, most sides would bite your hand off for that, it's hard enough as it is to pass on some of the tracks in British speedway. Also you can't really compare Jorgensen to Wells, he's much more consistent and although his rolling average dropped a far bit to 7.84 last month it's still a full point more than Jorgensen. Wells last 3 home PL scores before tonight were 23233, 33323 and 23223.
  19. Nonsense, he's just the fastest trapper in the PL. 3 jump starts tonight? they were all perfectly good starts from sitting directly in front of the tapes. 5 point average you obviously don't see that he scores double figures pretty much everywhere he goes.
  20. Never in doubt tonight, scunny never looked like winning a heat. 15 heat winners for the Comets not often you see that happen. Mason Campton rode well tonight, never really seen him make passes like those before around DP. Alex Davies made quite a prat of himself tonight, after seemingly moaning to the ref after sliding off on his own, decided to then try riding onto the rugby pitch and when the Marshall stopped him he pushed him and threw a punch. Then after getting booed came out for Ht14, and eventually passed Roynon on the line to finish 2nd who had slowed the race down to team ride Blacklock home, Davies went round on a lap afterwards goading and enticing the fans even further. Yes well done mate, you just finished second to Ryan Blacklock.
  21. I think it was a decent outcome for us really could of been a lot worse especially if Tungate was riding and we didn't have a bit of luck, a 10-12 point defeat would of been better of course but our reserves are a different proposition at home, plus their reserves won't ever of rode our track before.
  22. That petition Peterborough are sharing on twitter is rather stupid and very misleading, yes the first reason the BSPA gave of blocking the team changes was rather stupid, especially by quoting that rule. But Craig Cook himself is not being blocked from riding in the PL he is free to sign for any club not riding on a Friday night, which is officially Peterborough's race night, the same as Belle Vue. Ged Rathbone was told this by Rob Godfrey, but yet he went ahead and ditched the 2 riders first anyway and now is throwing his toys out of the pram, saying he's considering his future in the sport! Unfortunate for Craig Cook and the fans as he would be the best rider in the league again but Ged Rathbone and the club are making a massive issue out of this when he ignored what the Vice Chairman had to say to him in the first place.
  23. Worked out rather good for the diamonds in the end, Palovaara has much more potential than Aarnio.
  24. Yeah, rolling averages include the last 2 seasons scores. These are just the averages over 5 meetings this season.
