The way our teams keep being built is certainly different to the norm in terms of how other teams approach it from a continuity perspective. Builds excitement, not every overseas signing will be a Tate Zischke, but it certainly gets people talking about the club and brings new riders to our shores, which is only a good thing for both parties.

All I’ll say is that the Workington scouting pool stretches further than riders known to British Speedway. That combined with the strongest reserves in the league is probably how the team will line up in 2025. Plus in my opinion we have the most exciting talent in the league on a sub 7 point average who will outshine a lot of those riders on your list The same was said last winter when people assumed we’d be signing the likes of Theo Pijper and Simon Lambert as second strings…

That is so untrue, stop spouting pure BS Rumours from who, yourself?

100%, even the winners of Edinburgh/Workington in the prelim round face Glasgow. This isn't coincidence. Makes sense in a way, but isn't very credible

I think it's a great idea to have these events early on in the season, it's the week before the Polish season starts and I'd imagine that rider and fan attendance will be much higher, bringing back some prestige to these events. What was once a workable idea having it at the end of the season, doesn't work very well anymore. Same with the Pairs the night before Cardiff.

Nothing more surprising than an MP asking for a freebie, thinks he's got some sort of celebrity status...

Last year Craig was listed on here nailed on signing for Redcar, now this year (in the last few hours) it's Berwick, Redcar and Plymouth. Don't let a cryptic tweet fool you, which is proabably where someone has made it up from 👍

Connor is 100% not riding speedway next season according to Gavin Parr on the latest Official British Speedway podcast
-
Fair enough, think that probably means Batchelor will be back then 🙂 plus stronger reserves.
-
I thought otherwise before Friday's presentation night but given how Batch spoke I probably see him being back again next season if the limit is 40. We could end up with something like this, just a guess; 1 Troy Batchelor 8.46 2 Sam Hagon 4.73 3 Craig Cook 8.42 4 Tate Zischke 6.96 5 Antti Vuolas 6.40 6 Ben Trigger 3.00 7 Sonny Springer 2.00 39.97

Oxford? He's popular there isn't he
-
Pearson won't be back at Glasgow, and Dan Thompson is Glasgow bound for sure
-
That's why I said on the team front, plenty of contracts and announcements are being made pre-AGM.
-
I don't know, but would be highly surprised if he wasn't, he's back training hard again in the boxing gym. Even if the points limit is 40, I can't seen both Batchelor and Cook in the same team again given the averages Zischke/Voulas have.
-
Potentially will hear something on the team front tonight at the Presentation night

Don't know how it's a shorter drive to Plymouth, there's not much in it but it's extra mileage to Plymouth, plus Southern M4/M5 traffic to negotiate

Cambridgeshire

Would be a longer drive for him!

Very Impressive Premieres on YouTube on Fri 1st Nov.

Berwick ‘buy a brick’ Bandits 2025
Marksman replied to emilali's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It ridiculous, let them pull out, we don’t need them in all 3 leagues. 8 teams with 28 league fixtures is a good number -
I know nothing is likely to change but hope we get the Tigers vs Comets more than 1H, 1A next season. Both sides take a good away following and certainly generates interest this end. It's a travesty when you think Poole/Oxford raced each other 8 times this year. Something has to change, and if the reason for lack of meetings is mainly down to Oxford running 3 sides, then it's an absolute shambles. I fear that it's just going to be the same old BSN groups and then the same league format.

Was all postive from his time at the Comets, I think it helped as he has a real respect for Steve. On the flip side, if he doesn't respect someone or a track it really shows through and rightly so I can see why he can be classed as all the names he gets called on here. Some people like Troy seem to thrive on it, but more often than not he was a joy to watch and wouldn't be a surprise if he picks up our Rider of the Year award. I guess the sport needs characters like him, one thing is for sure he deflected a lot of the usual heat from Cookie this year 😂
-
Simple reason is if you have Cook, Batchelor, Zischke and Vuolas they would come to 30.4 alone. As well as he done it's a numbers game and the other 3 are probably certs.

He would ride anywhere, said worse at Plymouth also live on BSN. Then popped up there guesting for them a few times only a few weeks later... -

No, this was recently on BSN when the Comets won there in August
