Decent win for the Aces today. Almost sad to see the end of the old place (but I'm sure that those feelings will fade away very quickly once the new stadium opens)

Can't see the Aces pulling this one off to be honest. -
Gorzow Gp 29 August

One of the best GPs for a while. Great respect to Zagar for coming back from such a crash, and words can't do justice to the bravery of Chris Holder. My repect for him has gone up tenfold after the events of the last week. A true friend and a thoroughly decent human being. -
Gorzow Gp 29 August

I've not seen a rider go from potential GP winner to being so out of form before. He's riding lke an average Elite League rider at the moment. Hope he can bounce back -
Was thinking of going to Wolves for that one, but to be honest, it looks like a bit of a walkover for the home team. It feels very 'end of season' ...................... and it's still only August!

All the best Lewis. After the events of this week, you may not be the last.

Swc Final 2015
Garry1603 replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Brilliant meeting with a surprise ending. What more could we want (except team GB to be involved maybe!) Two hour program was just right, with the commentaries restricted (mostly) to what was happening on track. Interviews after each race with the winner asking them "How do you feel?" are not needed. Like everyone else, the only parts of the tournament that need to be changed are the jokers and the lack of reserves (which if they were reinstated could actually show the manager's skill, or otherwise!) -

Mine arrived on Saturday and I've spent most of the weekend reading it! Superb piece of work and highly recommended. -

Just ordered one. The original was brilliant. -
If You Could Bring Back One Rider...

Bruce Penhall. Would generate badly needed publicity for the sport and was a great racer. -
That's so sad. I met Ivan a few years ago at Cardiff where he signed his book for me. Loved the guy when he rode for Belle Vue, hated him for a bit when he left (!), but I came around to totally respecting a great professional and the blue print for riders today to follow.

Cardiff Wild Card 2011
Garry1603 replied to ladyluck's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I can see it being Woffinden or Nichols for political reasons, but the fairest way would be to allow the British Champion (excluding Harris) to compete. -
Tai Woffinden
Garry1603 replied to lucifer sam's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I don't think that his performances merit another attempt at the GPs next year. A lot of people (including myself) thought that this was a year too early for him and sadly it has proven to be the case. It wold be unfair to the other potential wildcards if Tai was picked in front of them. Let him concentrate on his Wolves form in 2011 and hopefully he can come back the following year. -
Disappointing World Cup?
Garry1603 replied to Rob B's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
It might just throw up some unusual results - maybe even a GB win! -
I emailed the Millenium Stadium last week as well. I mentioned the very poor sound system and they replied within 10 minutes apologising for the system and explaining that they were going to revamp it completely for next year. It was a very nice reply to be honest, let's hope tat they carry out their promise.

British Riders In The Gp's
Garry1603 replied to Topcat's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Can't see things improving until there are more British riders in the EL. Tai might move on to the next level but there is no certainty about that. It's becoming a major success if a Brit gets to a semi final unfortunately. -
