I see lots of people without a programme, and if my Wife comes with me, we only buy one programme, so putting the price up even higher (perhaps by £3) to include a programme is not a good idea in my opinion.

There is of course the option to stay at home and spend your £25 on the fuel bill? Have you been to a football match lately and seen how much they charge.

Wolves Speedway potential new stadium???
Bunce replied to Pauldoveyspeedway's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yep, been there, done that with potential sites for a new track near Norwich. We found a great site in a gravel pit, a natural bowl which seemed ideal. Planning application turned down on road access, and not approved until a new large road junction was built. A few years down the line, the road junction was built, planning application turned down again! In the meantime they gave permission for a huge new retail park next to our proposed site with a big Sainsburys, The Range, Boots, Next and numerous other stores all exiting at the same junction which the planners said was not suitable for a Speedway stadium. Regular chaos and queues at the junction, so words fail me! -
I am a frequent visitor to our local Theatres, such as the Corn Exchange in Kings Lynn, to see live music. The shows are generally between £28 and £35 per person for 2 hours live entertainment. Some shows are even more. The killer for me is that I live just south of Norwich, so its a 100 mile round trip and the cost of fuel has to be factored in. Plus the cost of a programme, perhaps a drink and some chips and its a big expense now I'm a pensioner. I think the admission price is OK, but its the total cost that makes it difficult for some people.

SGB Championship 2025 - Confirmed Signings
Bunce replied to Kerryxo's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Just to point out Kerry, Its Alfie Bowtell, in the Plymouth line up, not Botwell. -
What comments did Alex Brady make? Or is it not legal to publish them!

Am I missing something here? With only Ashton announced so far, where are all these other names coming from?

BIRMINGHAM v KING'S LYNN Mon 19th August PL
Bunce replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I have a feeling the weather will win this fixture sadly. I've just had a look at the rain radar for Monday evening in Birmingham and its not good. -
Sheffield v Ipswich 8th August
Bunce replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Thanks Gaz. This looked to be an entertaining match which I planned to watch on BSN, but didn't want to part with my cash if its either going to be rained off or raced on a wet muddy lottery of a track! Further updates nearer tapes up would be very much appreciated. -
Ipswich v Kings Lynn August 1st
Bunce replied to cowboy cookie returns?'s topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Another great Guest showing from Lewis Kerr after his 1 point for Lynn at home against Ipswich. I thought he can't be as bad as that again......I was wrong! -
Speedway of Nations 2024
Bunce replied to a4poster's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
When we got a Sky Q box, probably 2 years ago, I signed up for that free 12 month deal for Discovery+ However, over 2 years later I still get it for free and have never been asked to pay for it. I was puzzled but thought it was free if you were simply a Sky customer? -
Speedway of Nations 2024

Unfortunately to cast to from my mobile to my portable TV in the caravan, both the Mobile and the Chromecast I have plugged in to the back of the TV , have to be on the same Wi-Fi network. Most sites we have been on have rather pathetic Wi Fi, that is usually not fast enough for good streaming so I tend to use the data on my phone to watch. I need to get a portable TV with the Discovery+ app on I think. More expense! -

Yes, I just had a look on the Eurosport planner and its not listed, however it is listed on Discover+. That's a pain, as I'm away in my caravan and I would normally record it from Eurosport on my Sky box. However, although I have the Discovery+ app on my Sky box, I can't record from an app. My only other option is to watch it on my mobile live on the Discovery+ app, but its going to be a mighty small screen! -
Birmingham vs King’s Lynn - June 24th 2024
Bunce replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Thanks Petecc. I do have Discovery+ on my SkyQ box and normally watch the GP's on that, so I'll keep an eye out. Its a bit of a trek from Norwich to Birmingham but in my younger days I'd have probably done it. I remember back in the 1970's driving from Norwich to Poole, watching Poole v Kings Lynn, then driving back again the same night after the match in dense fog! Oh the joys of being young and foolish! -

I was hoping this meeting would be streamed on Brummies TV, but on their web site it says "No matches scheduled" which is a shame. Could be a close one and I'd love to see how Jan gets on as he experiences different UK tracks? -
I switched to Eurosport and its OK.
-
Yep. Lost it on Discovery+ on my Sky box

I'm just south of Norwich and at 4-20pm its tipping down. The heavy rain is heading towards Ipswich and will probably arrive around 5-45pm. Not looking promising for tonight I'm afraid.

King’s Lynn vs Sheffield, May 16th 2024
Bunce replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If it rains, will we see another "Holdergate" situation? Buster can't sack him this time! -
They don't, but I think they have missed a trick there. I'm assuming that tracks get a percentage of the income from streaming and I'm sure there are lots of fans of both teams who would pay to watch the stream?

King’s Lynn vs Leicester - Thursday 28th March
Bunce replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Meeting OFF. Heavy rain, waterlogged track. A new date will be arranged. -
I was also at Hackney that night, standing near the starting gate. My memory of the event is a little hazy, but at the time I thought his throttle had stuck open as he appeared to be travelling very fast around the outside when he hit the fence. A terrible thing to happen to a rider and as others have said, with the introduction of air fences, how many major injuries have they saved over the last few years?

King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions
Bunce replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That's sad news. Brian and Waggy put together a World class team whilst in charge, and Brian was instumental behind that. My sincere condolences to his family at this time. Brian was a really nice guy.
