  1. Is it wise for Speedway riders to hold grudges? There's not a endless supply of clubs to ride for. I'd totally understand Holder & Batchelor refusing to sign / guest for Lynn, as they were dropped at the transfer cut-off & left with no chance of finding another team. Whereas Kerr was dropped in an attempt to strengthen the team & straight away found a new club.
  2. Chance for Batchelor to put himself in the Premiership shop window
  3. Even if Ipswich lose at Birmingham, still gonna make the play-offs. No cause for concern till the last 4 meetings of the season.
  4. Not that it matters this time as Kvech has qualified, but hope di they choose which round would only get 3 qualifiers if a Czech didn't qualify? Was there any reason / logic to the decision?
  5. I still wouldn't be surprised to see Woffinden get a wild card next year.
  6. I'd rather finish bottom of the league without Garrity than win the league with Garrity.
  7. Zischke would have a 4.62 converted average, wouldn't fit into the Sheffield or Leicester team in place of a reserve. Possibly Lynn in place of MPT or Birmingham would've been after him?
  8. Darcy had one season in the second tier before stepping up, Chris Holder had 2. Might have to go all the way back to Leigh Adams to find the next Aussie who did one season then stepped up to the top flight. If Zischke doesn't want to step up.thod year, can take guest bookings (visa allowing) ahead of next season, when I'm sure he'll be doubling up.
  9. I don't understand the point you are trying to make, but I think you're the only person on the Forum who thinks Birmingham have a good / strong team. I tried to be positive before, but they've shown me the truth, they are absolutely awful!
  10. Dan Gilkes signs for Redcar. More track time over here should help his scores for Sheffield I'd expect
  11. But they don't use his last Champ average. Wether you agree with the rule or not, he comes in on a converted average, then after one match, goes back to his Champ rolling ave.
  12. One downside if Zischke racing at 2, is he finished his rides very early. Could that be why he wasn't used in heat 15? Not that Batchelor was a bad choice this week, far from it.
  13. Workington's top 5 are all very good (especially at home). If Vissing & Vuolas don't ride well as a pair, why not experiment with different riders each match?
  14. Gilkes has a higher average (5.56). Knudsen was 5.51.
  15. I'm pleased for Gilkes & delighted to see a Brit with a team place. But honestly don't feel it strengthens Redcar at all. Like-for-like change for me.
  16. Oxford's reserves will be getting 11 rides between them, their form could have a big say on the result.
  17. Team is quite different this year, they didn't have a number one like Craig Cook in 2018, this year they don't have a "3rd heat leader" at reserve. I think they'll be near the top, but not sure they'll win anything.
  18. I think Atkins is almost guaranteed to be back in the side, probably got a place for the season. If they didn't drop Atkins when the had 1.5 points available for a replacement, why in earth would they replace him on his 4 points average?
  19. Would you rather sit in the rain watching the riders kicking the track & then calling the match off at start time? Naturally it's frustrating to get a rain off, but not much promotions can do to avoid it if the weather is that bad.
  20. Or Plymouth complained against the IRR ruling at Berwick & were told it was legal. So naturally used it themselves when it was needed.
  21. Witches will be weaker without Doyle & King, so Brummies have a chance (on paper). But at the same time I wouldn't be surprised to see Birmingham lose by 20. They have a habit of performing poorly when they have a chance of a result.
  22. With a high points limit, 40+RS (43/44) when the average should be 42, riders / teams should drop their averages. Any rider with a higher 2024 figure compared to their rolling ave has done very well. For Leicester: Joe Thompson 2.17 / 1.51 (+0.66) Richard Lawson 7.39 / 6.76 (+0.63) Ryan Douglas 7.78 / 7.58 (+0.2) Sam Masters 6.79 / 6.61 (+0.18) Drew Kemp 4.12 / 4.49 (-0.37) Max Fricke 7.78 / 8.32 (-0.54) Luke Becker 5.58 / 6.30 (-0.72) Lawson having a great season, Douglas improved too. Perhaps surprisingly both Masters & Joe T's 2024 averages above their rolling aves. Kemp down a bit, with Fricke & Becker being the biggest disappointments imo.
