  1. When about a dozen people disagree with you on the r/r ruling, is it not time to consider, you may be the one who has the rules wrong?
  2. Pre- meeting I think Glasgow would have been delighted with a 14 point win. But after such a great start, may feel it was an opportunity missed not to have a bigger lead. I don't think there's anything "borderline" about it at all, to make a mistake once is bad (but he got away with it), to make the same mistake the very next meeting is horrendous.
  3. You mustn't understand the r/r rule, as many have said Ace only needed to take 3 rides. So I'll say Brown was incompetent with his team managing today.
  4. Not forgetting the r/r ride at all, Complin can take his 4 rides, 2 x r/r outings & one of Ace's rides for his 7 heats. If Ace takes an r/r outing, Complin can take 2 of his rides. Can't see how anyone can defends Brown's team managing here.
  5. Doesn't suit the top team, as either the 2nd or 3rd best team gets 2 big play-off crowds, while the table toppers only get one.
  6. Once again shocked that Pijper got a 4th ride, I find it hard to believe a team manager could be that incompetent, so can only assume he thought Glasgow already had it in the bag or likes getting grief online from fans? There's no way he can think Pijper would have outperformed Complin in that race!
  7. I think 39 for top 6 is a "strong" limit. 42 should be the average for 7 riders, most RS are 4 or 3.5, so teams are effectively building to 42.5 or 43. Any limit at 42 or above stops the league getting weaker.
  8. @Charlieboy not necessarily, if Woffy was kept as an injury replacement for Holder, then Jack could have come back in, it would have meant keeping Ellis & Kerr though, not bringing in C.Holder & Vissing. Would have meant less guests needed, which they wouldn't have known they'd need at the time obviously.
  9. With the amount of postponed meetings this year, I'd be stopping every hour to check it was still on
  10. The problem is, there's no rider Poole wouldn't want back imo. Probably all the riders keen to return too. Depending on the points limit, there's gonna at least one disappointed rider.
  11. Depending on how low the points limit is, he could end up being a number one? Was certainly good enough to be a number one last year at Leicester, can he get back to that level?
  12. Just make sure you have replacement heat leaders lined up before replacing your current ones lol!
  13. I'm confused by that last comment aren't all the riders NDL riders anyway? Or do you mean NJL riders?
  14. I'll have to disagree, while Poole want & deserve the choice of having the second leg at home, that shouldn't allow them to postpone matches. What if Glasgow couldn't re-arrange till the Friday & Poole call off the Wednesday match (in perfect weather) but the following Wednesday, when they plan to re-arrange it, gets postponed & it gets put back another week, you could end up with the KOC being abandoned, because Poole were so adamant to get the second leg at home? Apart from that, what about any Glasgow fans who could possibly have booked time off work, hired mini-buses, paid for hotels, all for nothing - just because Poole want the season leg? Obviously there's a risk of rain when you make these expenditures, but seems rediciulous that they could postpone a match, which could cause many problems, just to get the second leg at home.
  15. At least Monday's & Thursday's are now available for any re-arranged meetings
  16. Personally I don't think that should be allowed, yes they get priority in chose the second leg at home, but that shouldn't mean postponing the match just to keep the second leg?
  17. I assume most speedway fans think along the lines of 1) want to win the league with your own team 2) want to win the league with guests 3) settle for a final with your own team
  18. 100% agree with that, have seen it before (Pearson at Birmingham) with weaker reserves allowed their 4th ride in heat 12, when the match is still alive. No reason not to put in the stronger rider & if the match is won or lost before heat 14, give the weaker rider his 4th ride then?
  19. Unless those falls allow Complin to take another race lol!
  20. I'd say the exact opposite, Barker would be the first name on my team sheet without a doubt. I see no reason why his average would drop, besides you don't need all 7 to up their averages to make the play-offs. Look at Stevie Worrall at Poole for a prime example, Complin dropped his average for Glasgow etc. Apart from that, it may not be able to sign heat leaders racing on a Saturday night?
  21. I'm in two minds about whether guests should get a medal, one one hand riders like Musielak got Sheffield into the play-offs, but once they start the league matches are forgotton, so you could say Tobi / Woffy didn't win the league, Harris & Lambert did. But it just feels wrong, getting a League winners medal, unless it's for your own team.
  22. Of course they learnt from their mistakes, after a 10 match play-off system ended in November last year, they created a new 14 match play-off system! What could possibly go wrong?
  23. Smith could only replace Pijper if Ace is injured, can't drop him due to thinking Smith is stronger
