I agree it could be hard to follow, but gotta give them credit for trying to give Mildenhall & Oxford fans the option of just paying to see their teams, when Berwick ran double headers fans has to pay full price (no usually double header reduction) even if just wanting to watch their team!
-
They'll use Etheridge's most recent average (2023 Champ converted) so he'd be on a 4.00 average. Once he's ridden one match, they'll add his 2024 matches to his 10 match rolling average from 2022 (4.76) because .... actually I can't think of a logical reason why they start with one average, then switch to another after one match?

If team building rules remain the same: Sheffield Jack Holder 8.91 Tai Woffinden 8.26 Josh Pickering 6.78 Kyle Howarth 5.41 Lewis Kerr 5.31 Jye Etheridge 4.00 Dan Gilkes RS Total 38.67
-
That would be changing a winning team, Jack & Tai never rode together lol!
-
If the limit stays the same, it would actually be hard to sign Sayfutdinov, Doyle & King, while keeping Rew at reserve. Would leave 8.73 for final 2 riders, so looking for 2 riders between 4 & 4.73. Only options I can see are S.Lambert (4.66) H.Andersen (4.41) J.Allen (4.33) C.Cook (4.28) C.Vissing (4.16) D.Bellego (4.00) K.Thomson (4.00). Unless it's a returning rider like Berge.

I'd have to agree with Fromafar doesn't look such a great heat leader trio to me. But it's very hard not to compare next year's teams to this year's. In a weaker league could be a decent heat leader trio.

If it's a 38 limit, wouldn't be able to pick Rowe & 2.00 instead of Nielsen & Roynon. Would need to replace another, Kemp? Poole Richard Lawson 8.48 Ben Cook 7.39 Zach Cook 6.22 Kyle Newman 5.51 Dan Thompson 4.86 Joe Thompson 3.51 An Other 2.00 Total 37.97

Good shout, I think Bowtell would be a good signing.
-
If Brennan doesn't start the season in a Champ side, through choice or otherwise, he'd find it very hard to come back later this year / next year as his average would then be his converted Prem ave (9.03).
-
If it's a lower points limit, Kerr is likely to be a number one, whoever he rides for.
-
Every suggested side should look like a poor side if teams are going from 42 (on average) to 38. Not saying it will be that team, but to me doesn't look much worse than the current side (who made the play-offs) with every other team having to weaken don't forget.

Struggling to think who Monarch's heat leaders would be next season, so picked 2 who have been made available. Edinburgh Lewis Kerr 8.39 Tom Brennan 7.15 Kye Thomson 6.48 Paco Castagna 5.30 Lasse Fredriksen 4.57 Borke / Hook 4.00 An Other 2.00 Total 37.89

If it's a 38 limit, how about? With a lower limit could probably expect plenty teams with 2.00 reserves, so Poole would have strength there & if the Cook's can continue their trend of upping their averages, shouldn't be a bad heat leader trio! Poole Richard Lawson 8.48 Ben Cook 7.39 Zach Cook 6.22 Drew Kemp 5.19 Stefan Nielsen 3.75 Joe Thompson 3.51 Adam Roynon 3.41 Total 37.95
-
I would have tried for a team like this! Glasgow Chris Harris 8.95 Tom Brennan 7.15 Leon Flint 6.40 Claus Vissing 6.24 Lee Complin 3.50 Ace Pijper 3.17 Sam Hagon 2.56 Total 37.97

You only really need to be good away on the play-offs. Signing riders who you hope will come good with more experience on British tracks isn't a bad idea.
-
I would have kept Brennan too, gets a British discount, plus had a lot of meetings at number 5, which would lower his average.
-
I would honestly be massively surprised if they weren't both at Poole next year.
-
Don't forget Oxford had probably the strongest heat leader trio in the league, so anyone signing for them, should score more points as the opposition won't be as strong.

Got to be Two leagues then

Wouldn't complain with that -
If he only rode for Berwick I'd agree with you, but he rides in the Prem & Poland without a "safety net". I guess I'm hoping for Berwick's sake he stays, they've not been strong for a while & losing Flint would hurt them badly imo
-
I just can't imagine Flint leaving Berwick tbh
-
Can't be that inconsistent as he's got a higher average than Redcar's current heat leaders, which could actually go against him, as I'd expect more improvement from King or Wright with their averages. In a weaker league, I think Kerr is a surefire number one, but I'd pick King & Wright before him.

I just hope it's a sensible ruling, i.e a 4* & 2* rider or 2 x 3* riders, not a ruling that means riders on 2.01 aves get dropped for a new 2.00 rider!
