  1. One of the solutions was 6pm starts, had to move this one to 3pm die to medical cover.
  2. One thought on the crash, if Allen had kept his throttle on for the first 2 bends after the close finish, Wright wouldn't have run into him. Occasionally when you see a really close finish & riders shut-off straight away, the challenging rider(s) can find it hard to avoid them. This wouldn't be necessary if a rider is miles in front, but should riders do an extra bend if they know someone's right behind them at the finish?
  3. Interesting that Workington have gotten the aggregate point over both Glasgow & Poole in the league, yet won't make the play-offs. Obviously on their day can put in good performances but not often enough. Of course they'd have been closer without 2 points deducted.
  4. It wasn't that long ago (some) people were wanting him dropped this season. A few poor matches & people on here are (sometimes) quick to want changes made.
  5. Sounds like if you are right, you look forward to saying "I told you so" but surely you'd love to be proved wrong? The more clubs racing the merrier!
  6. I would've moved Pickering to 5 a long while back, certainly scores more at Owlerton than Chris Holder.
  7. I don't see how they could have done that, couldn't use Cairns as a guest for Ritchings, if Ritchings was available right? Potentially could have left Ritchings in for another month, then signed Cairns when they only had 5 league meetings left?
  8. Perhaps FIM Europe view this as a Mickey mouse fixture for Glasgow, win or lose Glasgow will still be in the play-offs, why should Nagel give up individual glory for a "qualifying" league match?
  9. Is it not possible that the riders simply want to do their best in every race they're in? Out of respect for the fans / to increase earnings etc.
  10. I think the Prem has the reserve situation spot on. But don't see why the top averaged rider has to go at number 1. Top two at 1 or 5 would be my preference.
  11. What ShanoXtra said is true, now I'd definitely go with Edwards
  12. Does 4 years warrant a testimonial though?
  13. With his attitude towards British Speedway (especially Plymouth) does he really deserve a testimonial? I think there's too many testimonials now anyway, remember when it used to be 10 consecutive years with 1 club. Because of the points limit, I understand it's hard to stay with a club that long, so I'd suggest 10 years with a club still, but doesn't have to be consecutive seasons. But any rider that misses matches when they don't get a facility, that season doesn't count?
  14. Interesting idea, but I don't think there's a need for helping teams be stronger when they're missing riders. As it stands there's no reasons for clubs to replace injured riders due to the guest system, if a club had multiple riders missing, this ruling could make them even less likely to make a change? Plus it would be easy to abuse, say you can only get a 6 pointer to replace your number one, would clubs then try & convince a reserve to be ill to allow a stronger replacement in?
  15. Because once teams get to the play-off final, none of the previous results matter. Whoever wins on aggregate deserves to be league champions. Now I dislike the play-offs & think top of the league should be crowned Champions. But now it's just a qualification league, finishing top doesn't mean anything more than having choice of home or away leg first! I don't necessarily agree Leicester will win it, I still think Ipswich are favourites, but if they do, they'll be deserving Champions.
  16. Didn't say there was a need for that, just the score I expected based on the 2 sides. I'd hope every rider gave their best for the fans who paid to get in. None of this "lowering of averages" I read about on various posts.
  17. Think Birmingham can be satisfied with that, probably expected Aces to score at least 60.
  18. I thought that a year or two ago, he then picked up some form, seems to have lost it again though. Although that now means he's on an attractive average for 2026, so will probably get a place with someone.
  19. I was thinking where did you get that average from, can't believe he's dropped over a point from his August average! Although technically he's Oxford's 3rd heat leader. As for Schroeck don't understand how Oxford think he's the best manager available for 3 teams!
  20. I was thinking the same thing, Wednesday's match doesn't have much riding on it, so wether he sits it out or tried to ride & had to pull out, wouldn't really harm Poole. But following Wednesday is a much bigger match, so could aim for that if not fit enough for Oxford.
  21. As the final Premiership matches are on the 4th September & the play-offs start on 8th September, there's not a lot of time for clubs to advertise their matches. I'm not suggesting they do what they did last year or Bring forward the cut-off date, but why not declare which club is racing at home on the 4 available dates? Top of the table at the end of August gets first pick, let's say that'll be Ipswich, they could pick 18th of September to guarantee the second leg at home (most clubs want that). Then go from there, once the positions are finalised, they'll know the away teams.
