  1. It may have worked, we'll never know, but based on Complin's score, wouldn't have made a difference. I wouldn't say no point when they used it, as it's a better option than a second 3 rider race.
  2. I keep expecting Birmingham, Berwick, Edinburgh & Plymouth to eventually show a bit of fight & improve, but it doesn't happen. Even when they try & strengthen up, these 4 teams keep losing, I've never known a season like it. Now Friday at Edinburgh is a must win fixture for Birmingham, but I think they need at least one team change to stand a chance.
  3. I understand the point you are making, but I'd say the point of a tac sub is to gain an extra 3 points, which they did. It's possible Cami waited till heat 14 to decide who his most in form rider was?
  4. Glasgow's team manager got the decisions spot on & the team lost 53-37. Had Harris been used as a tac sub in heat 12 & won it, Complin would have been last in heat 14 - result is still 53-37. Had Complin been used in heat 11 to avoid it being a 3 man heat, he would have been last, instead of being last in heat 12 (which is then a 3 man heat) score is still 53-37!
  5. I'm sure I've had this argument before, but I'm positive a tape exclusion doesn't count as a ride for the averages (unless not replaced)
  6. If Schlein is fit, surely he'd be in the best pairs?
  7. Batchelor has pretty much been riding to his average this year. Brummies issues are elsewhere
  8. Based on the first 4 heats, you knew exactly what you were talking about
  9. Just noticed the averages on the SpeedwayGB website haven't included the Kent fixture. Oxford's stats are up to & including Aug 16th - why I thought he had only ridden twice
  10. 5 or 6 weeks in a row, if it was Plymouth or Poole meeting 3 times at the beginning of the season?
  11. Maybe because he's come from nowhere? The others were strong in under age events before they turned 15, Boughen has been startling, considering his lack of experience (similar to Bewley)
  12. So you could ride at the same track 3 weeks in a row, as a guest - for your own team, then as a guest again?
  13. I was there & cheered on Boyce that night, years later I realise I was young & immature & wouldn't approve of his actions now.
  14. The Premiership needs clubs, far more than these teams need to step up, so it would probably have to be under a criteria they approve of? The same goes for Poole, if they say it's either Wednesdays or we stay Championship, they may have to allow it to keep the top league alive?
  15. Killeen's only ridden 2 matches, still needs 2 more for an average.
  16. Is suspect Vatcher's reasoning for not picking Bailey was an attempt to lay thr blame elsewhere (suggesting Bailey isn't committed as others) but to me it makes them look childish & spiteful instead!
  17. Logic would suggest they should be allowed to guest in a double header, after riding for your own team, saves travel expenses, better for the environment etc but speedway & logic don't often go together
  18. You're so negative for a Birmingham fan (I'm assuming)
  19. Theres still plenty time to get Wojdylo signed up before the 28th, just pointing out they could use r/r before signing him, not after. The first thing they should do is check a new riders availability, pretty daft if they tried to sign him for Wednesday, if his first match was to be on Friday.
  20. Because he's only 16 with a 7.00 NL average. I'm not saying don't sign him, but certainly not pay a fee like that. There are other ways to invest in the future - like running a NL team. It he turns out as good as many expect then he could leave GB like Lambert / Woffinden, so that money has maybe bought them a league title (is it worth it?) Or if they are lucky, he'll be like Bewley & stay here, but Oxford would need to be in the top league to benefit from it.
  21. A riders average can drop below his assessed average, but 4.00 is the minimum for foreigners. That's why last year Jacob Hook couldn't drop his assessed average (4.00) but Lasse Fredriksen (5.00) could.
  22. Why would they even try to do that though? They have 28 days to replace Nowak, can easily wait till Friday to use Wojdylo
