I don't understand the anti-Batchelor comments, he has a 7+ average. So on this season's form he'd be an improvement for every Birmingham rider!

I don't see why they would. They obviously weren't planning to have the strongest "RS" otherwise they wouldn't have gone for Mulford (no offence). Nothing has changed in that perspective. Perhaps they could strengthen up in time for the play-offs, but until then - no rush!

I stand by that comment, as a neutral the match result, even the "stupid heat" meant very little. Had there not been play-offs it would've been the most important heat of the season (so far). r/r for Cook only lost to Harris & Basso, can't guarantee Cook would have done any better. Plus Cook in heat 13, would've meant Lasse taking one less ride for a Wood (likely) last place. In these circumstances can't say Edinburgh missed Cook
