  1. If Oxford are going for 1st, letting Scunny get a point won't affect them, against Poole would be a big difference.
  2. Personally I'd go with Max Clegg, as he showed at Leicester last year his scoring picked up when he dropped to reserve, which could even lead to Bowtell or Dan dropping to reserve. Especially as they have an away match at Edinburgh to re-arrange. If he doesn't improve on his Scunny form, bring back in Joe T (in time for Berwick away - where Clegg would score a 0).
  3. Only needs to ride 6 matches (3 home, 3 away) to gain an average.
  4. The way British Speedway works, he could find it hard to gain a team spot if he finishes with an average that high!
  5. Doesn't really matter if he's on a 5 or 7 (or even 10) average, still fits in Peterborough's team. Biggest mess up is Panthers not baking a second change to fit him in at reserve.
  6. Very good point, no reason to it any club to demand the second leg at home after a rain-off swaps the legs over.
  7. Very good points, can't wait for his reply
  8. Can't see why they would look to replace Dan, he's hardly ridden a match for Birmingham, so not had much of a chance to prove himself.
  9. They may as well just stay in the NL of their only gonna meet fellow reserves, would also cause havoc with the averages, you'd have Newman & Mountain on 10+ averages. I'd certainly change to format so the weaker reserve has to ride at 7 & can't be replaced in heat 8 (Premiership rules) or use the old Elite League fast track format where there were too reserve races & they never met a heat leader, but do race second strings.
  10. I make it 4.73 available for Joe T. Either way Starke has a 4.86 ave so doesn't fit. Is it worth giving Max Clegg a shot, likely to score better at reserve, especially now he has NL racing. Either that or you're looking at giving Jake Turner a go?
  11. There are some promising NL riders who may be worth a go on 2.00 averages to leave more room for the top 6s averages. But there's not a single NL rider who I would call a "steal" on that average. The scores of Pijper, Ablitt, Killeen, Trigger & even Mulford show how hard to is to step up. The biggest improvers Coles & Atkins had many (half) seasons in the Champ before averaging above 2.00. Can't see any NL rider doing better than Complin.
  12. You would assume most heat leaders would prefer riding at 3 to avoid the difficult heat 13 (helping their earnings) they could try Ben at 5 at home & Steve at 5 away?
  13. Don't make jokes like this, as someone high up will think it's a good idea!
  14. It's always possible he'd have to pass a drugs test before being given an SCB racing licence, which I think would be fair!
  15. Lets say a rider misses a match because his wife goes into labour or his mother or father died, does he get a 7 day ban? Would that then become a 28 day ban? Don't think anyone would call that showing "integrity" The problem with trying to make sure there are no "suspicious" illnesses by giving a 28 day ban, mean riders with "genuine" illnesses miss out.
  16. It's a shame he's considering coming back because of travel issues to Sweden rather than missing riding in the UK.
  17. I was about to say 95% but then I realised they'd have to finish below TWO of Berwick, Birmingham, Edinburgh & Plymouth to miss out, so upped it to 96% lol!
  18. At home I'd go for r/r to cover MPT, away from home try & find a track expert. Doesn't matter greatly this week, even if they lose to Oxford still 96% sure they'd make the play-offs
  19. Lynn didn't even bother to say "aggravated" injury, just said he was injured!
  20. Well Lynn couldn't even do better than my "low" predictions!
  21. Ask Cook to sign for one month, then go back to Andersen then? Cook had said the deal had to be right for him, so there's a chance. Basically just find any rider on 5.01 or above!
  22. Doesn't matter if Lynn signed the best team manager in the history of the sport, it's not gonna help them win meetings now is it?
