Does it matter of they are on 28 day contracts? A rider can be signed for the season but dropped after a handful of matches!
-
Could depend on how many teams are in the league, despite there being 4 Friday tracks, there's very rarely more than two Championship meetings on a Friday. Of course that could change if clubs race twice home & away next season.
-
Yet Jack Smith frequently says in interviews he's looking for a Champ (or even Prem) team spot. He'd certainly have a better chance of he can score double figures home & away.
-
So far there's only been one away win in the league, if that keeps up, nearly every team will be in with a shout of the top 2!

Ipswich v Leicester May 25th

r/r seems a decent cover for Lawson. The top 3 are all similar (or better) to Lawson, the only one who on paper has a much weaker average (Sedgmen) is riding very well for the Lions. -
But imagine running with the same team minus Nick Morris!
-
If it was allowed, presumably it would be a guest up to 75% of Tungate's average, but I don't think they'd allow a transfer if the new signing was available to ride?

Poole Vs Scunny league 24th May

But 16 one week followed by 4/5 the next, is better than 4/5 every week (which is more consistent). -

That would have been some race, Allen slowing to allow Sedgmen past, so Sedgmen then slows to allow Allen back into 3rd, Douglas spots this & allows Worrall to pass lol! -
My first reaction to that was "who does he think he is Bartosz Zmarzlik"? Of course I don't know if that's true, but if it is - he'll never get a British club willing to pay that! I guess if he's happy to give Britain a miss, why not ask for the world & see if you can get it?
-
I stick by my opinion that it wasn't wise to use r/r at 2. Douglas scored a maximum & can beat any Poole rider, but they use his extra heat to beat a second string & reserve! Not the best use of their top man imo
-
Newcastle have shown how hard it is to build a competitive team on a Sunday, with many riders preferring to race in Poland. Could work with a drop down to NL?
-
Think Oxford did well to beat a Belle Vue side with a strong bottom end. Just think how strong they will be when Killeen come back though! Can they ride well enough to get into the top 2, while waiting for Killeen's return?
-
As I predicted Belle Vue's reserves were far stronger, but you were correct that Oxfords top 5 would be too strong for the Colts. My prediction was closer though lol!
-
Great start for Simon Lambert, has beaten Rowe, Newman & both Cooks. Should shut up the doubters lol!
-
I wouldn't be in a rush to replace KK. I know he's been awful away, but at home he's got a 10+ average. Winning at home must be priority to keep the fans happy surely?
-
Certainly don't think there will be much in it, but I'll just favour Oxford for a 4 point win.

I'll predict Poole 52-38 Scunthorpe. Douglas should score plenty from 7 rides, add Allen & Mountain probably getting 6 rides each so Scuthorpe shouldn't get thrashed! -

I don't think it's a "risk" using r/r. Even if another rider gets injured & they lose - still gonna finish in the play-offs! -

Let's be honest Poole could've picked Stefan Nielsen & still beat Scunthorpe lol! -
Kent have strengthened up & got the bonus point over Berwick. So feel the Bullets could be wooden spoonists. I could be a close fight near the bottom though, as Berwick have shown they're competitive away from home.

I agree, really prefer clubs to give other riders a chance in the NDL

If you're worried about how much a 2.00 rider would cost, then I'd suggest don't sign him. -

Personally I would have gone with r/r. Poole are very strong at home, so i'd want to give my riders more track time / races / earnings etc. -
Totally agree with @Bagpuss I mean when Edinburgh thought they had Richie Worrall last year, but he left to go to Leicester, Edinburgh didn't get the hump & say we're not racing, so why would a rider (if that's what happened)?
