Mickie Simpson looks a decent enough guest, could've been far worse off using an unattached 3.00 rider.

r/r for Cook only lost to Harris & Basso, can't guarantee Cook would have done any better. Plus Cook in heat 13, would've meant Lasse taking one less ride for a Wood (likely) last place. In these circumstances can't say Edinburgh missed Cook -

While r/r is weaker than a fit MPT, it's stronger than any possible guests. Scunthorpe to win by 14/16 -

Can only see a big Glasgow win (54 minimum) hope Edinburgh can keep it respectable -

He's used his home average & ignored his 8.47 away average, conspiracy lol! -

Sedgmen has a 7.00 ave from his 5 league matches this season. -
If the team manager wants to use him to build up a bigger lead for the aggregate point, then that shouldn't come into it, it's his job!
-
Shame Sedgmen didn't get heat 15 after racing unbeaten

If there was no play-offs I'd be mega excited for this match, as it would have a massive effect on the title race. However as both teams are 99.999% guaranteed to be in the play-offs I'm finding it hard to get excited for it. Obviously if I was going to watch I'd be different, wanting to see good racing etc. Honestly find matches involving Berwick, Birmingham, Edinburgh & Plymouth most interesting as one of the four must make the play-offs.

Conference / Academy league didn't start until 1994. 1993 was the season with 8 mam teams, the extra junior in each team was their efforts of youth development I'm guessing?
-
Why? They voted out the RS system in 2022, what makes you think it would've been brought back in for 2023?
-
We'll have to agree to disagree then. I do feel the RS system should be in both the Champ & Prem though.
-
What happens if the stadium owners allow a Nora fixture at the track? Would the Poole promotion be penalised for something out if their control?
-
I don't think the RS system is at fault for riders being out of their depth, it's the clubs themselves who have signed Championship reserves to step up before they are ready (Joe T & Mulford). Flint, Kemp, Rowe, Thomas, Dan T, Jenkins, Edwards, Bailey & Gilkes were all 4+ Champ riders (close enough) so there are 9 "rising stars" for 6 spots, who are strong enough for the role imo!
-
I think his main point is Ipswich not using a rider who is stronger than both options they've gone with - poor team building. The fact that Kemp is their asset, just makes it worse! I've not read any rule about "picks" for the RS positions, as far as I'm aware, they got signed the same way any rider does.
